Riggs- Losing 11-1 on Opening Day is intolerable

They had a shot and blew it. I'd be much more pissed if I was an O's fan now. Already issues with their closer.

I don't think it's just Riggs saying it's intolerable, I think we'll see a fired up team tonight

It's their house that was invaded!

I'm so pissed that we sat on Dukes for so long and didn't attempt to find a RF during free agency.  What's Rizzo's excuse for this one?

He didn't know Dukes was going to get caught banging Lerner's wife. The company line of "not off field" related is BS.

No team has even signed Dukes to a minor league deal. Not even the Royals.

Which is why I believe it was off the field issues that got him crap canned.

Yet if he was as a bad a guy in the clubhouse as described in those articles after he was cut and who had known issues off the field, why is Rizzo so myopic?

How is Rizzo myopic?

Being chartable he is myopic for not seeing the problems with Dukes.

You'd have to be a moron to let Dukes be your only option in RF, you'd have to be king of the morons to let all that crap in the clubhouse and off the field pile up and still do nothing.

Rizzo sounded nice when they hired him but he is new to this job. So far I am not impressed. He better start showing some results because I question his choices.

Rizzo was part of the decision process BEFORE naming a GM. Rizzo moves to consider: Walker, Wang, getting the Strasburg deal signed, Jessie English, Mike Morse, Storen, Pudge, Marquis, Bruney, Nyjer, and Burnett, Villone twice, Livan twice, holding on to Willingham, Aaron Thompson.

Not all great moves. The theme I see is bringing in top shelf character players. Dukes was a glaring exception, and I think it was charitable, because as I said before, the man has a ton of child support to pay. The only diva in that list above is maybe Bruney.

No. He hates on the players. I believe that the front office and managers are incompetent but hope they prove otherwise.

Weak tea Blue. Your giving Rizzo a free pass and using name calling to do it.

I haven't heard a thing that makes the clown car we got in right field not Rizzo's fault.

What about Guzman?  Do you think that they might be trying to fit him in to right field?  It'd be nice to be able to fit his bat into the line up regularly while he stays hot, but can he handle covering RF an making the throws?

Can we rename this thread to "The RF Question" or something to make it the official place for RF discussion?

Bullcrap.  He's 100% right.  It took Rizzo all the way until ST to see what I had been saying all offseason and since September of last year.

I wonder why that is. :hammer:

So does the "let's end the RF platoon" talk end for a night when the guy who hits righties hits a 2 run homer off a righty?

Harris is not the problem in any platoon.  The problem is finding a LHP killer who can field worth a lick.  I still think Morse is the right pair for Willie H.
