Sorry SF...I would take Marquis in a second. I know it's not possible, but wouldn't it be nice if we got Marquis and Garland? I know, I know..but it's nice to dream.

i'm cool with that

I think I remember that Marquis has been to the playoffs every single year of his career.

I'm not down for Marquis.

Much rather have Pineiro and someone like Doug Davis.

My point exactly.  Even though Marquis has the NY thing, if your logic is, "Marquis will want to play for a winner" then same goes for Garland.

 yea I was hoping he'd say something since he totally blew off my question and then he asks the same thing for Garland. His logic =

Per MLBTraderumors.com: Stark is reporting that the Phillies have jumped into the Marquis sweepstakes now.

I'd take Marquis in a New York minute.  I'd take Marquis and Garland (or equivalent) even quicker.

That's SF's proven winner requirement. WTF?

The guy is a good swingman. Everyone was ok with Livo coming back. Marquis is a younger, healthier, somewhat better, Jewish Livo. What's the problem?

Marquis also cost about 8-9 million dollars more a year.

Toronto expressed interest in Craig Stammen, but the Nats are not expected to trade him.

Craig Stammen could be valuable in the rotation or as a reliever for the Nationals.

Why do we have to clear space for the Rule-5? I thought we traded our pick.

You get more than one. You have as many as open roster spaces available.

His doing everything right so far. In on ALL the free agents up to a point, not just 1 big fish. Signing the pieces we need. I'm happy.

I certainly wouldn't call Pudge a 'right' move.
