explain to me why there's a lot of people out there that like battlefield over CODMW? I'm in the COD camp, quite frankly I've never played Battlefield (except for BF 1943 hehe), but I've heard great things.
While both are shooters, the battlefield franchise has always excelled in the genre. MW is just a straight up shooter with rewards for killstreaks and such. Battlefield is a shooter with vehicles, classes, and other strategical aspects that MW lacks. I don't think MW is a bad franchise since I enjoyed it a lot but Dice/EA has had the better game multiplayer wise. The thing that sucks is Activision now controls the COD franchise and will never do to it what Infinity Ward did (COD2, MW1, MW2). Activision/Treyarch aren't all that bad since I enjoyed COD3, WAW, and what I played of Black Ops, but they have been known to have a worse production staff than IW and clearly haven't added anything genre defining that IW did to COD2, MW1 and MW2.
Battlefield has been around since 2002, a year before the COD franchise, and IMO the game has a better war atmosphere than the COD series (however the Single Player in COD has been pretty awesome). I mean 64 players (24 on consoles), 32 v 32, playing against eachother in an open terrain map with destructible buildings, vehicles, hills, valleys, water, etc, and with all of that the game just feels so much better.
