Still playing the hell out of Assassin's Creed 2. It is amazing. Defintely my second favorite game from this generation behind Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. There is so much to do in AC2. I'm almost at the end of the main quest, but I still hours of side quests left to do. I have AC: Brotherhood waiting to be played when I get done with AC2. I doubt that I'll have it done by the time AC: Revelations comes out. To many good games coming out this fall.

Wow..I might have to get that on the release day. I was planning on holding off because I have some games that I still haven't played and my GF will probably get me Madden 12 for my BDay this month.

Does anyone play any f2p MMOs?  I've downloaded a few over the last few days.

Runes of Magic is an unabashed WoW clone.  It'd be cool if it weren't so "pay to win.". The cash shop has epic gear.  You can't even buy a mount in game, you can "rent" one from the cash shop or pay 199 diamonds ($9.49 = 200 diamonds) for a normal +60 mount.  +65 and + 70 mounts are more.

The other I've tried so far, though, seems pretty neat.  It's called Dragon Nest and it's not like any other MMO I've played.  It's anime cartoony stylized.  Everyone is in a town, but everything out of town is instanced and you do dungeons with your party.  It's still in open beta, but I think it goes gold on the 10th.

Your look is mouse locked, and you do normal attacks with left click, special attacks with right click, and abilities are on a hotbar like WoW.  All attacks are instant, so it's faster paced than WoW.  No more Mage standing still for 3 seconds to cast pyroblast!

There are 4 classes and each gets to choose from 2 specialties at level 15.  Sorcerer gets elementalist which is more offensive, or a more CC oriented class.  I'm only level 8 so I haven't experienced it yet.

The best part is the cash shop.  It is still beta, but at least so far the items aren't necessary.  Your gear gives you stats, but you can buy cash shop costume items to alter your appearance.  You can buy stamps and seals that allow you to send mail to other players.  Carrier pigeons allow you to send messages in world chat.  You can buy some pots, but you can get them from vendors too.  Nothing in the cash shop can make it so that someone who plays 100% free is at a disadvantage to someone that has bought items in the cash shop.

I have a few others that I haven't tried yet, but I'm liking Dragon Nest so far.  I have Eden Eternal to try next, which is even more cartoony with cel-shaded graphics.  I also have the f2p version of Everquest 2, but I wasn't a fan.  For instance, as a f2p player, you can't learn the top tier of your skills, and can only play 4 of the 19 races and a few of the 24 (?) classes.

Eden Eternal is kind of cool.  I only played it a bit because Dragon Nest's servers are down!

Nope. I was real surprised at how good that game was. The end chapter was badass.

I picked up Homefront at Gamestop yesterday. It's not COD or Battlefield, but it's not a bad game either. Better than what the reviews said.

Question for you guys - what is the best college basketball video game for Xbox 360? I know that they don't make them any more, but I wanna get one used. I don't really care about what year it is in terms of the rosters, but gameplay, and more importantly, dynasty or whatever they call it. Also, it should have all the teams...

I really liked College Hoops 2k8. You can get it for 2 or 3 bucks.

This. 2K was light years ahead, too bad they had to stop making them.

Have you played Oblivion?  Pretty similar, but with guns and a much more drab color palette.

Take it with a grain of salt as I've only played a few hours worth and watched my brother play a few hours on top of that, but it really does seem like "Oblivion with guns" to me.  There are graphical and interface updates and tweaks to bring it more in line with the Fallout universe, but the basic playstyle is very much similar.

This is not to say it's a bad game by any means, but personally I am holding off on playing it as I don't want to RPG myself out before Skyrim launches.
