wow Sens are absolutely crushing Erie right now 10-2. Davis hit an RBI triple, Joel Guzman drove him in and Marvin Lowrance hit a two run monster shot. Montz is the only Harrisburg player not to record a hit.

Norris hit his 8th bomb today in Hagerstown.

He is tied for the Sally league in homers ( 8 ) with Melky Mesa and Gerardo Rodriguez.

Arnesen: 5.2 ip, 4 h, 2 er, bb, 7 k. He moves to 2-0 and carries a 2.08 ERA into his next start. EA was 4-1, w/ 2.23 ERA and 25/7 K/BB down in A-Potomac.

This kid may be next year's version of Zimmermann/Lannan.

J.D. Martin picks up another win today for the Chiefs. He is now 4-2 on the season with a 3.13 ERA.

Looking like a good pick-up by Bowden. The most stunning thing about his numbers this year is his K-BB ratio: 31:2.

He's only 26 and this is his second straight solid Minor League season. I'd be interested to know how hard he is throwing right now and what his entire repertoire is. I'm sure we'll see him some time in September once the young guns are shut down.

He's not sacrificing average for power either (see: Espinosa).

Whiting can't hit but he is a stolen base wizard. 16 SBs to 2 CS so far for him this year.

he has pretty good plate patience so maybe he'll make it as a utility guy one day. He led the Nation in steals in his senior year at Louisville and last year he stole 47 bags in 101 games between Hagerstown and Potomac.

alright. all of his numbers look good. K-BB, Hits allowed, HRs allowed, BA against, etc. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Hey Brian, it's Ronny from your site. Didn't I tell you Derek Norris was a beast and he should be in the top 40 in Baseball America's ranking. This kid keep getting better and better. If he don't make a big jump in their next rankings, it will be a shame.

Burgess with a GW Solo HR for Potomac in the top of the 10th inning to defeat Kinston 4-3. It's his 8th HR on the season.

Espinosa's BA is down to .229. I've never seen someone as ice cold as he has been over the last several weeks.

Is Cole Kimball going to be a closer permanently?

encouraging start for Balester tonight: 5 IP 2 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 1 K (72 pitches, 43 strikes).

Not sure why they took him out after 5.

Balester had the only rbi again tonight and had a bunch of time running the bases during the top of the 5th.
They sent him out for the fifth. It was nearly a 20 minute top of the 5th inning that yielded only 1 Chiefs run.

He is starting to turn it around. You said they were teaching him how to pitch which is really encouraging. Sounds like we have a nice staff of coaches in Syracuse.

This is two scoreless outings for him in a row.
