Bullpen now has a 10 inning scoreless streak.

Bullpen has hit 17 batters.  Next highest is 11.

In total the pen's given up 75 walks and hit batters in 93 innings.

Gotta send a message somehow, it certainly isn't through getting batters out. :)

looking at yesterday's workload, Poche went 14 pitches, Henry 29, and Salazar 26.

Figure Poche is unavailable after 2 days in a row :woop:

Henry has thrown 30, 25, and 29 his last 3 with one day off between each. I suspect they'd want to avoid him for at least a day if not two. Brzykcy pitched Sunday and previously Thursday. You could maybe see a swap of him for Henry or Salazar if they want a relatively fresh arm up. Unlikely because they saved the other 5 bullpen arms yesterday.

Putrid bullpen. 2009-esque.

Finnegan is a gutsy, experienced closer, but when you don't get a ton of swing and miss, allow contact, and have guys on all the time, there's only so far guile can take you. Guile got him his first 8 saves, and he will bounce back and get more, but I feel like I'm watching the tail end of Bob Wickman's career.

Finnegan isn't a closer on a competitive team. The Phillies have the second worst bullpen in baseball and I don't think he closes over Alvarado or Strahm

not a surprise, and not what he's paid like.

2009 at least gave us Tyler Clippard. I remember when he filled in for J.D. Martin after a rain delay at 1:00 AM and there was six people left at the game. There was one fan who was very loud and you could hear his commentary throughout the entire game. They were up like 13-1 in that game and the fan behind the plate said something like "Come on Alberto (Gonzalez) be aggressive." Was the funniest thing ever.

Now get rid of simms and Salazar.

By mid season we need bryzycky, Grissom, Sinclair (yeah I know he had a bad game), Ferrer, Rutledge, Henry, and someone else by the deadline.

Finnegan, law, and chafin should be sold for whatever we can get by then.

Bryzycky will be up by the 10th. He’ll replace either simms or Salazar. It’s a competition for now for one of them to show something, and that just buys the other time til Grissom is ready.

Time for Salazar to be DFA’ed with Sims next. When the Dodgers cut him Seattle picked him up. How did we get him? I don’t believe he got in any games for the Mariners.
