Outside the box: Trade Garcia, and move either Abrams or Tena. Start Lipscomb at third.
Good idea. Sell high on Luis.
I don't think you develop a guy like Garcia and then trade him when he's ready. I don't want to see Lipscomb again. He stinks.
Even with the increased hitting this year Garcia is about 2 WAR. If he reverts back to prior years he is replacement level. Not convinced he will keep it up. Why not get some pitching for him?
If I'm reading it correctly, Luis is -6 DRS this year and 4 OAA. So not great. But better than before.Depends on the return of course like any trade.
Rizzo on the Junkies today. No surprise, but core of Wood, Young, Crews, Abrams, Garica, and Ruiz, leaving 3B, 1B, and DH open, but sounds like House will get an opportunity next year.
If I had $1 for every time he said "Uh" I think I could burn whatever other money I have and live comfortably for the rest of my days...Such a hard listen...
can garcia play 3rd?kind of liking the idea of a garcia-nunez-tena 3B, SS, 2B infield. That could work until king/house are ready. Ultimately, Garcia's best home would be batting against all righties by spelling guys at corner OF and every infield position.
let's not write off CJ too fast. I wonder if this lineup could start both Nunez and Young given their lack of power. I realize that's not the key here for your lineup.
Max says he wants to pitch next year. The Nats would be crazy not to pursue.
Then here's hopin' they're crazy...and not just stoopid. I've had enough of their stoopid...
