A senate committee advanced the RFK site bill today. It still has a long way to go before it's approved by the full senate but at least there's progress. That guy from Montana finally stopped holding up the bill.

On Inside the NFL, now on the CW and at odd hours on the NFL Network, Chad Johnson predicted that Washington would beat the Cowboys 35-7. Chris Long agreed with him.

Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick is on that show, as well as a 30-minute show with Peyton Manning, and on Monday Night Football with the Mannings (first half.) He really has good insight and great analyses of the games and teams he reviews. Somebody is bound to hire him to coach again.

But the Patriots never seemed to pay for great wide receivers, settling for retreads who could still play for little money. I'm not sure I'd give him GM power.

At 82, Dallas owner Jerry Jones has fallen of the cliff as the team's GM. You can't win consistently with so few good players. A poor defense and an inability to run makes it worse. That makes Dallas-haters very happy.

Daniels seems to have regressed against good defenses. I’ve really only seen him play the last two weeks and makes me wonder what the hype is all about. He must have looked better earlier in season. I guess teams have adjusted.

I wasn’t entirely paying attention last night, but I believe I heard the sports anchor on Channel 4 say Daniels has not fully practiced in a month because of the rib injury. For a rookie, that seems like it would certainly be a problem.

A bit too much BB for this thread, but to N2Ps point - Right about the wide receivers, except Moss of course. The one constant was he always had a great slot guy, starting with Troy Brown. After Brown, he signed a restricted free agent in Wes Welker, which I think cost a 2d round pick. Edelman was draft and develop. Chris Hogan and Amendola were FAs, but he tried Amendola some as wide out. Just an endless series of disasters with draft choices and old big names after Moss.

Before Gronk and Hernandez, they had good tight ends that were under-used. Both Daniel Graham and Ben Watson had good post-Pats careers, and even Jermaine Wiggins could catch and played some.

You can get away with ok wide receivers when your QB is the best to ever play the position

and your tight end is in the running for best ever while your slot guy will get HoF consideration.

I went out when Turpin returned that kick for a Touchdown. Made it a 10 Point game. How the heck did they get in a position to tie it only to miss another extra point?

Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu. Who else remembers George Allen and the Over the Hill Gang?
