splains the power drop. i remembered the hip, but i guess he had a lot of work done. typical hollywood.he will not earn his contract, but he's still a heck of a hitter.
He’s been on the DL at least 6 times for a minimum of 5 unrelated injuries. Plus had off season surgery for another injury.
Turner has finished 7th, 5th and 11th in MVP voting in the 3 years following 2019? If that's bad what was the expectation?
Scherzer is the least bad of the contracts mostly due to the short term. But he sure is getting paid a ton as he approaches 39 years old.
and now Rendon is hurt again with no timetable for return.
It give him more time to not play a sport he finds boring
The Angels need to DFA Rendon. He's just a distraction at this point and the sooner he's gone the faster they can rebuild. The wasted $100 million+ should be a lesson for Arte he should have learned after Pujols.
Rendon had wrist surgery last season. Maybe they should bat his .361 OBP leadoff instead of the .303 OBP they’re currently running out there.
The Angels could eat 2/3 of Rendon's salary and trade him back to the Nats for Adon and Abbott, or the equivalent in Wilmington pitchers. Rendon jinxed himself when he went to Los Angeles. Maybe he would slip the jinx if he came back to Washington, where fans loved him.
Pass. I'd rather not take a washed up former fan favorite
I will never bad mouth what Rendon did in his time here. For a stretch, he might have been the most unheralded superstar in baseball. For about 4 or 5 years, he was on the short list. That said, I'm not sure I'd have him back even if we swapped him for Strasburg, which would be break even in money. At this point, I think I'd rather take my chance on an internal option or another FA.
