This argument is silly because you can’t prove either side of the argument.  We will never know. Just be happy the Nats won in 2019.

We do know however that we would have won a World Series much earlier if we had signed Prince Fielder ;)

Who says? Lance Lynn was every bit as good as Corbin. Harper is significantly better than Eaton. There is just as much of a chance they have a WS.

We don't know if DC would of also had their first world series in 95 years if they had signed Harper instead of who they did, but we do know the results wouldn't of been better. So not signing Harper ended up being the right move.

Not true. Maybe with Harper and Lynn we win the WS in four games, thus giving DC fans the clinching game at home.

If the team had stayed competitive you could be arguing about actual post season games now instead of this.

This is partially true because they had let the farm system drop to the bottom of MLB.  They’ve rebuilt it and added some young players to the MLB roster generally through trades. No evidence they can draft and develop any players other than high end no brainer picks.

Exactly

Lol. What? Anyway, aside from this one of my most memorable times was when the Bullets won the NBA championship in Seattle. They got a huge reception when they flew into Dulles. After leaving me and my buds were going around the Beltway and Abe pollin was next to us in the passenger seat with the championship trophy in his lap. We started screaming at him and he held in up to us in triumph.

We kinda got ripped off by not being able to greet the flight in from Houston when the Nats won.

No DC team has won a playoff series since 2019 and right now all four teams are tanking.

The Caps should tank but they won’t as long as Ovie is chasing the record. They are stuck on the middle.
