That forecast really sucks for the DMV. Wish you guys well up there while it comes through. Hope it’s a speedy storm.

the WX Risk guy checks in (surprisingly without insults or profanity):

Quote
The early morning European model on this Thursday and the  6z  update  take the powerful Coastal storm and drive it due North … right up Interstate 95 once it crosses into North Carolina.  By Sunday evening the LOW will be in eastern upstate New York.  Because the European model and the European Ensemble now take the system Inland this model is driving  3-4  INCH   rain totals into eastern   North Carolina   Hampton Road /Southeast Virginia ….the Delmarva …and southern New Jersey.  It is s driving two and three inch rainfall amounts as far west as Raleigh Richmond Washington DC Philadelphia New York In Providence Rhode island.
Only far Southwest Virginia and the Western Mountain areas of North Carolina will escape the rain.
WINDS   On the coast from the Carolinas to Long Island New York winds will gust up to 45 or 50 mph  during the times of heavy rain at the height of the storm.  even Inland as far west as Raleigh Richmond Charlottesville Fredericksburg DC Chili and New York there will be frequent wind gusts up to 35 mph.

Conditions will be favorable in DC towards 9/30 as much hot air will be generated near the top of a hill between Independence and Constitution.

Was wondering how the sky was cloudy here when they said it was sunny. Turns out the Canadian wild fires has reached us here. Smells also. Guess you all up north know how it is.
