Daughter is flying from Orlando to DCA today for a conference tomorrow.  She was delayed 45 minutes or so taking off.  Hope she gets in before the weather.  Supposed to land about 4:45.

Everyone is teleworking so they all have to keep working.  Unless their electric goes out.

We were lucky enough not  to be in a wind window here in Goshen/Gaithersburg. A regulation crap-ton of rain though. Seems to be tapering.

She made it in before the big storms. So I’m happy. Now we just need to get the two year old to sleep through the night.

White noise (fan, Lectrofan, etc.) has worked well when traveling and staying at hotels with paper-thin walls and door-slamming Olympics

You know what I do when I stay in a hotel? I hold my door as it closes so it's nearly silent.   :whip:

Oh no. We are back here in Orlando with the two year old. She has the hotel up there all to herself. May be her first night of decent sleep in a while except she has a 3 hour presentation  tomorrow.

Weather folks are really worried about storm surge as it is forecast to hit during a super moon

It's not possible because I'm flying in....has already been in the works for 2 weeks and cannot take off more work to make it happen. This is already very much so on the DL.

My boss just moved his daughter into her dorm at FSU this weekend, this morning he was like "If they try to say I have to come pick her back up..." :lmao: I totally get what he means, they might lose power for a bit but Tally will be fine.

The current track is probably a best case scenario for FL right now. Gainesville is the only major city in its path.

That's what my daughter said, "It's hitting the bend, no one really lives there..."

My flight to CHS was canceled and they want to push the interview to next week, which I can't do because of commitments here. Welp, going to guess this job doesn't happen now. Fun sweat for me for nothing.

That’s a tough break. Maybe your dedication to shout current job will have them give you a later chance.
