well, the OBP is fantastic but he looks frustrated and scared to swing now.  I'd guess he gets a day off tonight.

Not sure resistance to putting him of bench for a game or two. We lose a lot offensively but the shuffle with Taylor in center really improves our outfield defense.

Probably needs a couple. Gonna need to return to form if he wants to beat out Acuna's late season surge for RotY

I love the way everyone comes up with an idea and how it steamrolls. It's has only been like four weeks since the ASB break. The team has had several off days since too. The kids is fine. Let him play today and he has the day off tomorrow with the team.

I’ve been saying this since the guy came up. And I’m definitely not somebody that falls victim to groupthink, if you’ve read my posts here.

Rest helps players perform and resist injury. And two consecutive days of rest is better than two non consecutive days. This is not debateable. It is fact.

So if the guy is having some performance issues AND hasn’t had a day off AND hasn’t demonstrated that he can handle the rigors of a major league season then you rest him. It is unclear to me why this is controversial.

And I’m genuinely curious. You think he’s “fine.”  What are you basing that on? He seems to be acting exactly like someone who is fatigued.

taking the ROY discussion here from the Davey thread.

Looking at top stats, don't count out Brian Anderson in Miami.  He's posted .277 .358 .396, and has played a full season. 
Acuna is at .286   .355   .571 with 50 fewer games
Soto is at .287 .408 .512 with 45 fewer games

Acuna has 10 steals and 21 HRs, which probably gives him the edge versus Soto (15 HRs, 2 steals).  Anderson has 9/2.

Jack Flaherty could get some consideration, 7-6 in 21 games started with a 2.97 ERA and 144 Ks

Unless Soto goes on fire to finish out the season, I don't see how he gets the award.

Soto basically lost it the first two weeks of August. I mean, he can still catch fire again, but he looks like he hit the wall.

It seems the book on Soto is to pitch him high, especially in crucial spots. He'll need to adjust to this.

For the long term, I'm not concerned about Soto or the ROTY award.  I'm concerned about Victor Robles' development as a big league hitter. 

Let's all hope Robles makes progress in September.

Robles has been fine since coming off the DL, batting .286 over his last 10 including a 12-27 stretch, in Syracuse.  I'd expect that we see him next week.  For the season he's put up a .362 OBP with 11 steals in 32 games in AAA.

Twitter, in some ways, is a hub for multiple cults: People with large followings who preach to millions of adoring followers, i.e. Donald Trump, Kim Kardashian, etc.

"Nice" is just a meme on the 69 sex position. It isn't limited to Twitter. It's all over the internet.
