The dodgers really do not want a Sunday double header because they play in Colorado Monday. They’ll play 2 tomorrow as a last resort but they want every last chance to get 2 in today.

They should think about 11 and 3 on Sunday. The 11 o'clock start works great on July 4th. I like it, even coming all the way in from Gaithersburg.

11am baseball with temps in the upper 70’s instead of the July sun trying to murder you? Where do I sign up?!?!

feed a bunch of kids a hot lunch at school.

Way too much money being wasted on free lunches already. My kid's school has 75% of the kids on free and reduced meals and every time I visit her for lunch I see more than half of the food being dumped in the trash. Hungry kids would be hoarding the unwanted food, not dumping it.

11am start -- the religious community would go bonkers. That's already why many Sunday day games have to start at 1:30 or 2.

I have no idea.  All I know is that trying to exchange these tickets is near impossible.  Other plan holders on twitter are voicing their frustration - if the tickets are gone from the inventory there is no way to exchange them, especially before 2pm!

The Revenue Chief just announced that their exchange system crashed and is now back up. Nothing from the official team accounts. No offers to extend the deadline. Truly one pursuit.

Was the system smart enough to allow a yankee or cubs exchange?  I went to the stadium to do my exchange because when I checked before leaving work I couldn't do it through access....unless I needed to do it somewhere else.  At the gate they offered me lower level corner for my infield box tickets (No thanks) but did accept an infield box pair for the Sat Cubs game that's blacked out for regular exchanges.

Sorry if someone already posted this, but I don't remember seeing the link.  With all the talk of a retractable roof in this thread, does anyone remember that Lerner once floated the idea and was swiftly denied? https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/nationals-sought-a-retractable-with-taxpayer-money-district-mayor-vincent-gray-said-no/2013/11/26/48b7b8a4-56ee-11e3-835d-e7173847c7cc_story.html

The Lerners didn't have to pay anything for the stadium.  And yet they wanted the taxpayers to pay for a roof also.  LAC.

Yankees was not available.  Didn’t look at Cubs.  I exchanged for the Saturday Giants game that was blacked out for regular exchanges.

Since they got a free stadium, how cheap can you be not to pay for the retractable roof you want with your own billions?

Problem was, they didn't own the stadium, so if they paid for a retractable roof, who would own it? It's a complicated question because a retractable roof would allow the possibility of many offseason events.  How would revenue be distributed from those events to compensate the Lerners for that investment allowing these events.

The solution obviously is that the owners should pay for the entire stadium.

So let's say hypothetically the game starts at 2, goes five innings with one team leading, and then is interrupted at 4, for a three hour delay. It's plausible.  Would they continue the game, putting the possibility of starting the second game at 10 or eleven, really pissing off ticketholders for that game?  Or would they declare the first game complete so they could start the second game at a reasonable time, really pissing off ticketholders of the first game, as well as the first game's  losing team.

What a dilemma that would be. I'd love to see it played out!

If Cooke had left any substantial portion of his estate to his son the Redskins would be fine.  He left him about 25 million and the rest to charity. What an jerk.

Yes he did but *I believe* he died before his dad. There was also the family dynamic during JKC’s divorce from wife #1 where one son sided with JKC and the other with the mom. The one who went with the mom was cut off. I don’t remember which son went with who.

My sister and I were laughin' today about hittin' Powerball.    She sez, "Money can't buy happiness or friends."   I sez, "  ...  and?"
