In other words, not only cheap but shortsighted to boot!

BTW, for you youngsters, there was a time when there used to be a doubleheader pretty much every Sunday afternoon. They did not have to clarify the term with "single admission" as there was no other type!

I can’t imagine that 2pm game starting on time.

Bunch of godam cheapskates. I hope it clears up completely tonight, and rains like hell all day tomorrow.

Wasn't this MLB's call?

Yup, since this is the Dodgers’  only visit to DC this season, it is also their last visit, and at least one team involved is in playoff contention. So MLB makes the call.

MLB may have directed that a  doubleheader be played tomorrow, but they don't say whether it's split or single-admission.

Yes, but the only two interested parties are the Nats and Dodgers, MLB would certainly try to get them to come to an agreement before ruling against one of their member clubs.

Quote
Tickets for tonight’s game can be exchanged for any other 2018 regular season game excluding the 7/2 – 7/4 games vs the Boston Red Sox. All exchanges must occur before the start of the rescheduled game.

If you bought a single game ticket for last night and can't make it to the ballpark for the 2 PM game you need to make the exchange in person at the ballpark before 2 PM. The Revenue Chief needs to amend this policy. It really screws people over who live further out and/or have a conflict tomorrow.

They probably ought to let you exchange the late game too, since they are changing the time.

I'm a season ticket holder but I exchanged another game to get these tickets so I think I have to drive down to the box office tomorrow morning  :(.   The exchange function doesn't work for me and my ticket rep is gone for the day.  Does anyone know where I can park while I do this?  Is the B or C parking garage open if I were to get there around 10am?

I’m on 10th and k currently and it’s raining a ton. It’s going to do this on and off all night.

Yeah it opened up a bit here now too. I just wanted to go to the park. I’ve got good seats. And there is no guarantee that they can get it in tomorrow either.

Is it going to take the whole team 100 plate appearances each to get back after taking a week off?

There was no game scheduled for last night...

Anyway...that doesn't sound right...have you got a link to anything that spells this out?

Maybe they'll make us play our home games in Puerto Rico again.

Yes, there is a big difference.  And there is a big difference in cost.  In fact most cities (if the city is paying) would consider a retractable roof to be prohibitively expensive.

Not only are they incredibly expensive; they are also hardly ever open.  Look at Miami, Phoenix, and Houston, for instance.  It seems that only when the weather is perfect do the games see sun(moon)light.  Too cold?  Too hot?  Too humid?  Keep the roof closed!  Those stadia have effectively become domed.  Only very seldom have I seen Houston and Arizona with the roofs open.  Has anyone ever seen Miami's open?  I think I recall once during its first year.

Bottom line: Stop whining about the weather.  We get a rare spurt of endless rain and nambies shout for roofs.  Tough it out.  Better yet, move to Green Bay and go to the winter Packer games (good luck getting tickets).  Packer fans put all domed/roofed fans to shame, whatever their supposed-to-be-outdoor sport.  They even grow grass, to boot.

They’ll get at least one in tomorrow. Pray for leads after 5 innings all weekend.

I meant for tonight, if you have a ticket for the game today you have until two tomorrow to head down to the ballpark and make the exchange.

Anyone else notice they changed the Curley W rain policy?  Doesn't talk about the 6th inning anymore, it talks about if it's  if it's an official game.

That's nothing short of unreasonable...bordering on criminal.
