They certainly don’t advertise it

He keeps this up, he'll finish with just 52 home runs to go with his .460 OBP.  Who'd want that?

Except Dunn would hit like .220 and was nowhere near as good on the basepaths or in the field, but ok.

Let him go. He's not worth the 300-400 mil. Start prepping for Robles.

Dunn is better at first base than Harper is in RF.

Now hitting .250.

Ted Williams was selective at the plate and hit .350; Harper is selective at the plate and hits .250. If I got to say one thing to Bryce, it would be SWING THE DAMN BAT!

And, yes, he's taking pitches plenty good enough to hit, e.g., last night that first pitch curve ball with the sacks loaded ended up right down the middle. He's not necessarily looking for a walk; more like he's hoping for one. He's not getting paid to walk. Not on this team anyway.

Harper still has an OPS over 1, which is pretty amazing considering that his slugging this week is .118. As soon as Zimmerman started to heat up a little Harper has gone ice cold.

He knows his contract value is shrinking by the week and he'll have to move on if he wants to win. His head isn't in it anymore here.

exactly !

...didn't get to watch today's game, and laughingly, it seems like this is a good thing.  and, quite simply, one of the only good things about this team playing so horridly, is, that they won't be tempted to waste any money on him.

yesterday's game, with the bases loaded, with this team struggling so, and with such an inept strikeout, was classic he's-not-worth-it-at-all material...

Whether to sign Harper or not is not a question. They are much better with him but if you're going to keep everybody else and have a solid pitching staff you can't sign Harper to the kind of contract he can get elsewhere. Not his fault when he leaves, not Rizzo's, just fact.

Four singles in his last ten games when the team needs him the most.

Would you rather have Machado than Harper? Move Turner to 2nd next year when Murphy leaves and let Harper walk. It would be probably be a bit cheaper and I like Machado better.

What if Angelos used the MASN money to sign Harper, Murphy, Gio, and Werth?
