normally, you say the road team's goal in the first couple of games of a playoff is to split.  With Scherzer going Monday and Stras available for game 5, I'll say the Cubs need this one as much as we do.  I think we'll hit Hendricks better if we get a 2d chance.  Could have grabbed a lead early on some rockets like Murphy's smash to Rizzo, and that changes everything.  Win today, and I like our chances again.

First time in my life I'll root against Jon Lester.  Still have his tee shirt and autographed baseball, but its time for him to be mortal.

That's a nice spin but I just don't believe it. No reason to assume the Nats have the advantage with Strasburg or Scherzer on the mound after watching yesterday. Today is basically a must win for the Nats. Not for the Cubs.

I lit incense at the Gio shrine I have on my end table.     If I can start a Guthrie GDT, Gio should be a snap.

Plus, I'm gonna break the seal on a 750 of Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum.

We're counting on you. More than Gio. Probably would help if they scored a run.

Whenever you think MG is a really nice guy he comes in with a zinger. It made my day. Funny.

Can we just sit Werth down? Maybe I'm missing what he brings to the field and the line up...

How about we just release Werth today. Anyone have an issue with that?

Not a good move, given the chemistry on the team.

So who's pitching for the Cubs and how have Nats batters faired against him this season ?

How about we just release Werth today. Anyone have an issue with that?

Pathetic. Just pathetic.

OK, so what's with this day...it's 85F out, MDS is engaging in bestiality afternoon delight, baseball apocalypse, Caps opening night, and the first DC Paul Weller show since Maggie Thatcher was in office.  What could possibly go wrong?
