I've seen him before. Not in NJPW, but in Evolve and a California indy whose name escapes me. If I were to examine him as if I were a talent scout, I'd say that he is gonna do quite well in WWE. He has gotten himself over everywhere he has gone, he's got a good look despite his size, and he is capable enough in ring. However, the very thing that has gotten him over and will cause him to succeed as an overall performer in WWE is that exact thing that bugs me about him; he is an enormous ham. The arm flapping, the plague doctor mask, the over the top promo delivery, the umbrella, etc. It is all just too much goofiness for me. With the exception of the Broken Universe which is itself completely unique and works for some inexplicable reason, I just don't really have a taste for comedy acts in wrestling and Marty has so many layers of schtick that he has to be considered a comedy act. I'm glad for guys who can make that work for them; Breezango comes to mind; and I hope the best for Marty, but it is just not my taste.

I agree about the comedy but he can work as well. The fale-scurll-cody-takahashi vs Okada-osperay-briscoes match was a good match of comedy, high flying and then some great wrestling.

The other big takeaway from the show is that Okada is a superstar. Even more over than Omega, though not by much. They did a nice job continuing the build for their third match at the G1.

It may now be GWF, but it's legacy is TNA. GWF champion Alberto El Patron (the former Alberto Del Rio) has been suspended after a domestic violence incident at the Orlando airport involving Paige. Witnesses report that they were yelling at each other in the tram, with Paige accusing him of being coked up and drunk. She claims that they were arguing with a fan who wouldn't leave them alone after she received bad news about a family member. Paige's family members accuse Patron of beating her.

Nakamura dropped Cena on his neck tonight, somehow Cena appeared unhurt. The camera picked up Nakamura saying "I'm sorry" afterwards.

Flair is in a medically induced coma per fightfulonline According to Flair's autobiography, he's had a history of suffering from heart damage related to alcohol consumption.

On a more positive note, Kasuyori Shibata, who almost died after suffering bleeding on the brain as a result of a vicious head butt he delivered to Okada in a match in April, made an unannounced appearance at this weekend's NJPW G1 show. The crowd reaction was incredible.

His statement to the crowd was simply "I'm alive"

F4W reports that Flair had surgery to remove a blockage in his colon. The blockage led to other health issues including kidney failure. They aren't sharing any other details.

It was. Delirious has successfully killed that for the future though. Go look at their roster now. They used to have a constant stream of guys flowing to WWE and TNA, but there is literally no one left that WWE would have interest in. Their talent acquisition strategy of having guys pay for tryouts and then MAYBE get a shot on a dark match after going to SEVERAL tryouts and Delirious being notoriously difficult to work with and even get in contact with at all has totally wrecked their reputation. This last batch of guys in reDRagon, Cole, Dijak, Keith Lee, and Lio Rush (Although Lee and Rush were barely used in ROH and made their names in Evolve and CZW respectively after leaving ROH) is impressive, but there is NO ONE coming in to replace them. Chris Daniels and Cody Rhodes are their last two champs for God's sake, and while I like both those guys, they are not can't-miss prospects destined for big things in the future.
