I popped for Brock pinning Roman.

Joe should have won though.

fantastic main event, i'm fine with Brock winning as it now appears they are heading toward Brock vs Strowman for WM.

It was. Delirious has successfully killed that for the future though. Go look at their roster now. They used to have a constant stream of guys flowing to WWE and TNA, but there is literally no one left that WWE would have interest in. Their talent acquisition strategy of having guys pay for tryouts and then MAYBE get a shot on a dark match after going to SEVERAL tryouts and Delirious being notoriously difficult to work with and even get in contact with at all has totally wrecked their reputation. This last batch of guys in reDRagon, Cole, Dijak, Keith Lee, and Lio Rush (Although Lee and Rush were barely used in ROH and made their names in Evolve and CZW respectively after leaving ROH) is impressive, but there is NO ONE coming in to replace them. Chris Daniels and Cody Rhodes are their last two champs for God's sake, and while I like both those guys, they are not can't-miss prospects destined for big things in the future.

WWE can always bring Eli Drake back. :)

Ah yes. Mr Kennedy 2.0. I gotta say that I'm not totally against him being the GFW champ. He is at least a guy who made his name, such as it is, on Impact rather than a WWE retread. Of course, spoilers say he is gonna be feuding with John Morrison, so who knows how long they'll be able to keep themselves from going to a retread.

Yeah, especially ironic after Cornette blasted those who come into Impact for a vacation.

Despite his flaws and quirks, I do trust Cornette to get that pushing retreads over homegrown talent is bad. However, Double J is still the guy with the final say on things and he has a vast history of pushing retreads, so I expect it to continue.

I listen to Cornette regularly... I have a feeling his podcasts are going to be even better now that he's back in business.

Schiavonne and Pritchards are my top two.

Nothing against the guy, but... nothing of value was lost.

ironically, he needs Enzo as his manager.  I expected Enzo to turn on show last night, that was a missed opportunity.  Also missed was having Rowan and Harper attack Balor after his match with Wyatt, and then have Gallows and Anderson make the save.  That would have given Gallows and Anderson purpose in life, and made for an interesting Original Bullet Club vs Original Wyatt Family program.

Snore-ious. There was speculation over the weekend that he's next to face AJ for the US title.

TNA is so much better now that it's in WWE. :)

The pop for Roode was amazing. I wonder if he gets a WWE title push now that he is seemingly a babyface?

As Meltzer said, you can't be a heel on the main roster with that music.

He avenged the misdeeds to his people in the only venue remaining for warriors of his heritage. A brave heart  in the spirit of Tecumseh

"When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home."
Tecumseh

TNA may be near death again.

https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2017/09/06/jeff-jarrett-global-force-wrestling

They've had more than nine lives but it looks like the end is finally near without any backing and crappy TV. Jarret is reportedly heading into treatment for alcoholism.  Sad as the shows have been better as of late.

TNA had a chance if Corbin took over. His 8 months or so in charge were the best thing they had done in years. Anthem is no better than Dixie as they did the GFW rebrand before they had finalized ownership of it, so Jarrett is now holding them up for more money in addition to he and Karen being a trainwreck backstage.
