I should have put a smiley on my post. I use to see him at a hotel in Aspen in the late '80's with his body guards. One time on the elevator they wouldn't let other guests on. I gave them a FU and got on regardless.

It will be a sad day when Bryce realizes this and demands to be traded.

That won't happen.  Bryce would wait for Free Agency

It will be a sad day when Bryce realizes this and demands to be traded.

Not a huge ESPN fan but thought this was a good piece on Harpers ejection and Matt Williams

Don't worry, BH won't win a WS for anyone. I would love to be wrong, but I won't be.

Kahrl is a very good writer, not to mention astute student of the game.

Two comments:

Anthony Rendon is a "top grade grinder?"  Please...he's a top tier talent...an All Star built on performance, not hype.

Bryce is "the once in a generation talent?"  Wonder what Mike Trout has to say about that?

She did get it right about our flower...and Williams' actions.

To be fair, Ovechkin's been surrounded by losers his entire career and hasn't asked for a trade, so maybe Bryce will follow suit.

The last player to have a BB rate as high as Harper's at age 22 was Ted Williams back in the '40s.  Over the last couple years I think we have consistently forgotten just how incredibly young he still is and how much untapped potential he still has.  Either way, kid is having a hell of a year.

As a baseball fan, that's amazing. As a nats fan, I don't care about his age, just his service time, and in that case he's a fourth year player which isn't exactly young anymore

I know what you're saying but in evaluating the likely arcs his career can take his age is a major factor.  Most players his age are just now getting into the majors and that's only if they're really top prospects.  They've had a lot more baseball in their lives with a lot more conditioning in either the minors or at the college level.  What Harper is doing is pretty amazing in that context.

We have Bryce Harper until the end of 2018 for sure, right?
