Harper last three games

8/12, 1 BB, 2 K, 6 HR, 12 RBI

.667/.692/2.167

Yes, that's a SLG of 2.167

That's completely insane.  You can't even do that in a video game.

Phil Wood recalled on MASN's Nats Talk this morning that the Washington Senators' Frank Howard, in an amazing one-week stretch in the spring of 1968 (May 12–18), hammered 10 home runs in 20 at bats. He hit at least one in six consecutive games. His 10 home runs are also the most ever in one week. Top that, Bryce!

The 6 ft 7 inch/255 lb. Howard was named the National League's Rookie of the Year in 1960.

Bryce needs to send me $6,000 to celebrate his recent splurge of home runs.

Yeah, I watch Harper day in and day out.... he just doesn't look as good as I thought he would be. He looks like a decent player, not a star, not really even an all star. Yes he's still young. I don't know. I'm not impressed by any means.

Bryce Harper hit 3 home runs day before yesterday, 2 yesterday, and 1 today. So tomorrow, he'll either hit 0, or he'll hit infinity.

That is really not a relevant projection, given the low number of games so far.  Let's see where he is around the end of June.  But I hope you're right

But when have you seen a batter hit many home runs in a few games, then keep up that pace for the whole season ?  I hope I'm wrong, but Harper's last 3 games are statistical outliers.  Let's look at HR total at the end of June, after 78 games instead of after only 31 games.

If I was projecting based on 3 games I would have said "On pace for 324."
