I honestly believe that Fischer and Darrell Green were the only legitimate corners the Redskins ever had. If there was another, I can't think of him.

Was Harmon Killebrew a legit superstar?  Lifetime .256.   I

f Harper can crank out 40-50 homeruns a year, he's a legit superstar even with a .260 average.

He's on pace for 45, so he needs to keep it up.

Especially if he maintains this walk rate.  He could bat .240 for all I care as long as he hits 40 bombs with an OBP over .400

Sorry for the double post.  He hasn't even gotten into a real home run groove yet.  Sure he had one game with three so maybe this is the start of something, but when he really gets going bomb wise he's gonna be unstoppable.

Time to pay Harper all the money. Don't let him leave DC.

That last AB against that donkey rookie reliever was awesome. You kinda just knew he was gonna homer based off the junk he threw to Escobar and Werth. It wasn't even fair. It was like watching a grown man play against a Little Leaguer.

Assuming the little leaguer is somehow older than him.  :hysterical:

Time to DFA Harper as he is in a major regression as his HR production has decreased by 33% from his game on Wednesday where he hit 3 jacks and his game last night where he only hit 2.

Mike Bass

If Harper hits 42 home runs this year, he's stepping into the Killebrew line. Of course, Killebrew had three other power hitters in 1959. Pitch around Killebrew, OK, but then what about Jim Lemon? Or walk Bob Allison to get to Killebrew and Lemon? Sievers has hurt part of the season, but he was the best hitter of the four, and AL home run champ in 1957...and not bad in 1958, either.

I mean, he only hit one home run today. Probably need to cut our losses while we still can, before he starts sucking.

Harper last three games

8/12, 1 BB, 2 K, 6 HR, 12 RBI

.667/.692/2.167

Yes, that's a SLG of 2.167
