Eh, I've seen the pie in the face and cooler bath so many times already I appreciate something different.
They don't seem to have any consideration for the guys who clean the uniforms. Chocolate syrup cants be easy to get out.

They have to get pine tar out of uniforms. That stuff is impossible to get out. This stuff won't faze them. They're not using Tide.

Another good day at the plate, hitting lefties, still can't catch a fly ball in sunlight though.

Finally came down to earth today...was so close to #7 but he got in a RBI. Cant be too upset with that.

The offense is finally clicking. Bryce is seeing the ball better. Its going to be fun watching him play.

And jeans that probably had holes in them when he bought them.    :)

That is some bullcrap right there.  Of course, you're right.

Time to DFA Harper as he is in a major regression as his HR production has decreased by 33% from his game on Wednesday where he hit 3 jacks and his game last night where he only hit 2.

Ok slate.

Don't they get new uniforms pretty much every night? I thought that was what made the Natinals thing possible. The on air color guy (probably Dibble at the time) was saying you don't think to look at each new jersey to make sure it's right because you expect the New Era folks to just do the job.

No...I recall the Shark wearing a pair of pants with a massive patch over a slide hole...

Look at NFL players...those jerseys are full of repaired holes by the end of the season...

I'm guessing they must have a pool of uniforms that gets replaced periodically throughout the year.  Otherwise, I think it's unlikely we would have seen two Natinals shirts debut in one game.  Bernadina probably had a superstitious attachment to the pants and requested they be kept in use rather than replaced because they were lucky. Just too much money in the sport to force players to wear clothing with patches against their will.

Maybe one day Bryce will be as good as Kris Bryant. We can only hope.

That is really not a relevant projection,

Uh, some of you are taking this "pace" thing a bit too seriously.   When someone says so-and-so is on pace for such-and-such it's usually not meant as a projection.    If I were projecting, I'd have Harper with 30-35 homeruns.

I thought they sold most 'game worn' jerseys-I know Cooley told a story about having to sneak his jersey out after the last game so he could keep it

Updated Zips has him at 32 HR this season, as does the Steamer updated projection.

However, those also have him playing just 100 more games, so if he stays healthy for once he's more likely in the mid to high-30s.

I have him at 33 on the predictions thread. Since his production has fallen off dramatically as he didn't hit one yesterday I believe we should start DEDUCTING from his total output every time he doesn't hit one until he is in the negative column and those who predicted he would be a bust are proven correct by my scoring method..

that would mean what, getting robbed by an OF, or doing a face plant as he rounds third on an inside-the-ballpark HR?

Maybe allowing an infield homer in on a defensive screw up?
