I remember sitting with my cousin Billy Burns who would go on to be Minor League POY for the Nats that year during Spring Training at some sandwich shop.  MAT walked in with his Dad and Billy pointed him out and said who he was and that he was a very talented prospect.  I knew the name but not the face at that time.

I can't say enough about Michael A. Taylor.  I was dreading going into the bottom of the 8th and 9th innings with only a 1-run lead.  Even though we straightened out our bullpen, I was a nervous wreck.  What a fantastic grand slam from a modest and very likeable guy!!

What are we going to do with Robles?  If Harper leaves, maybe we'll still be OK in the outfield.  If he stays, our options for getting a decent return for trading 1-2 of our outfielders are looking better and better.

Michael Taylor is the opening day center fielder next year. No longer a question. And if he keeps a solid OPS while playing good defense then he'll be out there for a while.

As far as his place in the lineup, I don't think he profiles at top of the lineup. In a less crowded lineup I think he'd be a good 5/6 hole hitter. He has some pop.

Of course it's only an educated guess, but I still think Robles probably will be better than Taylor eventually, even if Taylor keeps improving.
