Seriously, guys? It was an awesome moment. Let's let it be that for, say, 24 hours.

What's the big freaking deal? BS and I were just having a discussion. It was a nice moment but I wouldn't call it awesome. It was huge for the outcome of the game.

I don't so much question the non-error that led to the ball going over the CF's head as the play at the plate.  An on target throw cleanly fielded gets Taylor before he goes back to touch the plate.

Oh, it was one of the cooler things I've seen this season.

The whole thing last night just felt like one of those situations where someone just had to find something to be critical about it for sport. Maybe it didn't come across that way for others, but that's how it read to me.

Do they often call an error on a relay from the outfield that is slightly up the line that’s mishandled and another base runner doesn’t advance?

In all fairness, the play at the plate possibly would not have been as close as it was (and the crappy throw made it not close, but an on-target throw changes all of that) if the USS Matt Weiters were not the base runner in front of Taylor.

Anyway, since crappy routes and lollygagging aren't errors then I think the scorers got this right.

This. Frankly, the catcher should have been charged with an error. He fields it and Taylor is out by at least five feet

I still think the in the park grand slam Céspedes misplayed shouldn't have been an error.

Bullcrap. As stated above, getting a bad read or in this case, hop, does not an error make.

I think he was citing a contradiction, it can't be both a grand slam and an error.

Yeah I know. And it shouldn't have been an error/should have been a grand slam. I'm actually pretty amazed that this has happened to Taylor twice and against him once.

That wasn't a bad hop. That was Cesepedes not fielding a routine ground ball.

Deals done and not done, just imagine:

- The Mets pay Murphy what he deserves in December, 2015

- The Mets encourage Cespedes to leave in 2015

- The Nats sign Cespedes to a whopping contract in January, 2016

The difference between a franchise that has won the NL East in 2016 and 2017, and a franchise that will rebuild around Brandon Nimmo.

With Harvey and Sundegaard hurt not sure it matters that much. If Scherzer and Gio or Strasburg get hurt next year we are doomed.

Strasburg and Scherzer have missed starts this year and the Nats have been okay.

A long term injury to either and we may be a few wins down but this team isn't reliant on a single pitcher. The offense has racked up runs.

Don't forget:

- Brandon Phillips accepts the trade to the Nats.
