Hey, gotta call from Sean who must be my personal representative from the team or whatever. Is there really any benefit to interacting with this guy?

Yes, there is a definite benefit to connecting with your customer service rep. You'll have a point of contact for the inevitable problems that arise. Example: last year I had major tech issues with the Access account and my rep helped me navigate those. I also had tons of questions about postseason sales that she was very helpul with.

And they'll work with you via email if that's what you prefer.

What discount code are you referring to? The one for tickets gets you SPH prices on single game tickets. But that code is not user specific and gets posted online pretty quickly.

Might be user (or at least group) specific this year with the different tiers of discounts.

In the past if you used the reps last names in the coupon code field it was good for a discount, although not as good as the SPH or Jr Nats codes so I've never used them.

It wouldn't surprise me if they closed that loophole this year given how they are trying to segment the benefits.

Went into Nats Access today, just a random check, noticed that Red Carpet Rewards Points are gone and there is now a place holder for "Loyalty Points"

Got an email for four free spring training tickets yesterday. One of my partners got really excited about that $40 value.

Ticket exchanges in 2015, does anyone know specifically what the exchange limits mean (by plan level)?  Does 20/15/5 exchanges mean 20/15/5 single tickets in total can be exchanged for different games, or does that mean 20/15/5 game's worth of total tickets can be exchanged?  For example, I'm part of two half season plans, each on different accounts.  One has two tickets, one has four tickets.  If it's only 15 tickets on each account, the two seat half plan could get by (although it's still limiting), but the four seat account really gets screwed, can't even swap out the equivalent of 4 games.

But maybe it means 15 games x the number of seats on your plan, so 30 total tickets on the 2 seat half plan, 60 total tickets on the 4 seat half plan.  Does anyone know the answer to this?

I don't know the answer but I have a guess. I bet it's the number of transactions.

It means that if you have a full season plan you can exchange up to 20 games, 40 tickets if you have a pair of seats.  I just noticed that the full season plan holders get cut off at 20 rather than receiving double the benefit of the half season plan holders getting 15.  Cool thing is that with half season plan A there are enough weekday giveaways that I only circled six games that I won't be able to resell for at least a break even price if necessary.

No more sharing the SPH code for single game discounts this year, the team now requires that you use your account number and password to log in to get the discount.  Kind of sucks for groups where the leader doesn't want to give out their password and doesn't want to deal with the hassle of buying a bunch of single game seats for all of their partners. I guess past abuse of the code messed that deal up for everyone.

The email we just got with presale discount instructions said "This presale allows you to purchase up to twelve (12) additional tickets for 2015 regular season Washington Nationals' home games."

Is that 12 total?  (as opposed to 12 per game)

12 total.

EDIT: I read it again and it actually sounds like up to 12 per game.

On second reading that is poorly worded, but it is definitely 12 per game, the Nats want tickets to the big games sold out so that they can start charging $25 a pop for standing room.

It is poorly worded, I too thought it was only 12 TOTAL upon first glance.

Wonder if single game prices will vary based on game tier.  The pricing charts on Nats Plus reflect a single game price, but based on prior years, face values are likely going to flucuate.

Prices will fluctuate based on games, I'm fairly certain. At least that's what it says on the group tickets page.

Got right in at 10 for the Nats Plus presale and it worked like a dream. The 20% discount for full season plan holders is included. Got to pick out some tickets to July 4 and Orioles. I'll use my RCR for the rest, I guess.

Here's hoping they trash this system of not being able to see where the seats you purchased are or I'll go back to buying them at the box office.  Can't believe they haven't figured it out yet - sorry Nats, I have no faith that you know what I mean by "best available"

I agree it can work better but, to be clear, you can see where the tickets are before you purchase them. It's just that you can't pick specific seats. Instead, you pick a section and they find the best available seats. You can then choose to buy or not.

Last year, they introduced a system where you could pick out a seat but that was late in the year and I don't know what happened to it.

It's not a matter of figuring it out, the Lerners do not want fans to have access to know how many seats are available. They have consistently used artificial scarcity to drive up demand, which doesn't work if we can see the real time sales numbers.

NEW FOR 2015:
In an effort to minimize the blackout dates for 2015, the Washington Nationals have identified 10 games that will have very limited availability. If you wish to exchange into these games, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. All dates are subject to blackout and any game may become a blackout game or limited availability game at any time.

Games that will have limited availability in 2015 include:
•Saturday, 4/18, Philadelphia
•Monday, 5/4, Miami

So fill up your exchanges on Werth Chia Pets, Livo and RZimm bobbleheads.

If that's the case, then why was the pick your own seats technology enabled for the end of last season?

Most seating systems disable the "choose your own seats" feature during times of "peak demand." Such as during pre-sales or immediately after on sale dates. Otherwise people end up selecting seats that are stolen out from under them between the load and click. However, in today's day and age on the Internet there's no reason you can't have an app that has nearly real time availability. It just costs way more when it comes to management and hosting.

If that's not the case, why disable it now?
