If I understand correctly, at concessions you get charged the full amount and then you are credited back whatever discount you are supposed to receive. At the stores, they apply the discount before purchase.
yes.  They used to give instantaneous credit at the refreshment stands, but now it looks like it is after the fact.  Got the 20%.

I'm thinking of adding parking to my plan. Can anyone tell me how it works. Can I still do it now that the season has started?

Thanks so much for the info. Now I need help on which lots/garage to buy in. I'm looking for value vs pain to get to and get out of as well as resale value for the games I don't go to.  Any advice?

I was told they don't give you the 20% off on the tax.  Made sense for almost all of my transactions, but one of them still looked a little off.  A good deal nonetheless

Fair enough, but I wonder why they changed after all these years? I noticed that they also now show the tax amount on the receipts. But, from my example on the last page, I bought a pretzel for $5.50. It broke it down to $4.35 and $1.15. I don't think the tax rate is 21% (which is what $1.15 is on a $5.50 total) - it's 10% if I remember correctly. I'm still a bit perplexed on this.

Is it possible that the DC Government levies a higher tax on items bought in the park? To help pay it off?

We always park in Lot B, FWTW...easy in from Van Street and out onto South Capitol Street.  The discount for the remote lots isn't worth it...

Others use Parking Panda or other broker for parking.  Avoid Yards Lot H/I..it will take forever for you to get out...

This doesn't explain the different allocations for 3 of the same $9.50 product bought at different times during the same game...

4/12/2017 5:59:02 PM   Top Up Account (Via Till)   $1.56
4/12/2017 5:59:02 PM   Debit Account (Via Till)              ($1.69)
4/12/2017 5:59:02 PM   Debit Account (Via Till)              ($7.81)

4/12/2017 5:07:11 PM   Top Up Account (Via Till)   $1.69
4/12/2017 5:07:11 PM   Debit Account (Via Till)              ($1.04)
4/12/2017 5:07:11 PM   Debit Account (Via Till)              ($8.46)

Honestly this is the kind of thing that needs to be reported to a ticket rep. All we can do here is speculate, which isn't going to get anything actually fixed; they should have the sales records easily accessible and even if they can't figure out what happened, they should get their Point of Sale vendor to sort this stuff out.

We always park in H/I precisely because it's so easy to get in and out of, but maybe it depends on what direction you're coming/going. We come in over the F Douglas bridge, right on Potomac and enter/exit using the N Place entrance (I think that's the street -- it's the south entrance into the lot, not the north one). Never taken more than 10 minutes to get back to 295...and that was during the opening day crowds.

If you're heading back into the city, the exit out of the other side of the lot can be a bear...

Wow they're starting early for partial plan holders to upgrade to Nats Plus. Never mind the x amount of years you've supported the team with your somewhat of a fan partial plan. Thanks Valerie!

"As a reminder, due to limited inventory, all Nationals Partial Plan Holders will be entered into a tenure-based lottery for tickets to All-Star Events.  By upgrading today, not only will you ensure your seat to the most exciting sporting event that D.C. has hosted in decades, you will also start enjoying all of the great NATS PLUS benefits right away including larger discounts at concessions and the team store."

Discounts at the stands and stores are the top benefits of upgrading to a Nats Plus plan? Someone may want to clue the Revenue Chief in that tickets to more Nats games would be the primary benefit of upgrading (after the ASG seats of course).

Do you think it's worth getting back on Nats Plus if I'm dead set on wanting a guarantee of ASG tickets? Or could I just wait to get back on Nats Plus next year and still get the guarantee?

At this point I'd only be on the hook for 27 games or so. Do you guys suggest/recommend section 233 or 138? Which has more SPH?

Do you go to a lot of games 20+ per year? If so buy a season plan, otherwise stick with game by game. Section 233 has better views. I'm not sure about plan holders in each section but 138 might have more because it is over the bullpen.

Will buying a season plan next year only not guarantee All-Star Tickets? What level are they saying they need you to buy to get to the ASG?
Another question: just to get people's opinions. How many games should you attend to justify a full season plan? I bought one and had trepidation that I was biting off more than I could chew. I've gone to 11 out of 19 games this year. That would be a rate of 47 games for the whole season.

I go to a ton of games, have been a SPH 5 years, but this year so far I've been buying the cheapest seats possible and sitting wherever.

I just don't want to buy Nats Plus this year for the ASG when I can just wait for next year, but Nats Plus then and get the same ASG guarantee I would this year.

What if  you have a group?  I go to 9 out of my own full season plan, and pick up 5 or so more through friends or business freebies.

Organizing a group is a major hassle, worth it if you go to a lot of games and want playoff priority, but not easy to get jump started.
