FWIW, if you but into the Fangraphs $/WAR win, Werth's has earned $104.4MM back during the years of his contract, with another season and one quarter to go.  A half a win over the last quarter would bring it up to $108+.  That means another 2 WAR year and, by that measure, he will have been Werth it.

He's the biggest jerk on the team, and I mean that in the best possible way.

He's not an jerk. Only you like your jerk. He's a dick. And everyone likes dicks when they're on your side. Because they freak jerk.

I'm not sure that is the term I would use for him.  He's particular and not shy about giving grief back to the fans if fans boo.  But I find him entertaining in his personality quirk and entertainment is why he does some things.

My only regret here is this won't happen during a game at home.

He's the biggest jerk on the team, and I mean that in the best possible way.

That may well be the dumbest post in the history of this forum.

I've always wanted to see this. But it came out when my kids were young and it didn't fit the aesthetic at that point. Looked for it a couple of times on Netflix, but no dice.

Jayson looked like he actually gave a crap about the record. A little anxious.

Bump.  He's now 11th, tied with Babe Ruth, on the all-time post-season HR list with 15.

He might be the only big-name free agent long-term contract that's ever worked out.

Nah. Even recently, Matt Holliday has been a much better deal. Werth is still slightly overpaid, but nudging closer towards his deal being a wash.

I heard this on the radio during my walk.    My first thought was "how many games".     At least twice as many "post-season" games now.

Werth has already played 15 more postseason games than Ruth did.

Thanks spider.    So, it comes down to how many WS homeruns does Werth have?      :couch:

The one in the 2008 series was when the game was already decided. However he has been clutch in the playoffs with the Phillies and the Nats. I thought he was done after last year but he has proven me wrong. The Phillies made a major mistake in not signing him. Their loss was the Nats gain.
