Go to "Wookie of the Year" on the right side of the page.    That's as far as I go.    :)

I was kind of expecting his line to be a little more juiced, but guess we should be happy with some OBP out of him.

Jayson Werth is a plate setter in a homer heavy offense. He's done his job and then some this season.

With Turner, there's less need for it, but Werth has generally performed well for the Nats when he has been 1 or 2 in the order.  Also would fit with the general righty lefty balance Baker likes - Werth, Harper, Ramos, Murphy, Rendon, Zimmerman, Turner (Revere), Espinosa.  two high OBP guys at the top, with the better power guy 2d, a terrific contact hitter, and your best hitter cleanup.  If Turner continues to hit, lead him off when he is in and just slide everyone back.

His bat is trash because he probably tears his old man ligaments trying to swing but his BB% is good as ever.  This is simply the type of thing that happens at age 37, a .340 OBP for the season is perfectly fine

He's hitting .246 with 12 homers. He is offering some value outside of hiss OBP.

It's nice that his name rarely comes up in the albatross discussions these days.

Really? He's not a very likable sort. Some of the ladies like him. I guess they're into the hairy thing.

I hope he sets the franchise on base record tonight.
His value to this team has and continues to go beyond his on field performance, until the Nats shelled out the big bucks  :money: for Jason no free agent took the Nats seriously as a destination. His signing changed that. He quickly became the team leader. Face is a fairly quiet, lead by example guy from all I've heard. Jason had that ring. You know he's had a huge impact on Royce as a mentor. And let's not forget who walked off the only home playoff win.... I never will. Most exciting thing I've ever seen at Nats park and I've seen some doosies.

He's the biggest jerk on the team, and I mean that in the best possible way.
