Ray Lewis and the woman formally married to Ted Turner are in the same boat.    They come on.   I leave.

Does he have an informal wife too?

He's really good. It helps that he was recently a player and knows the staff and system very well. That gives him insight others don't have. I guess that could change when they bring in the new coach.

I suspected he'd be good at it. He has a lot of different interests (#theRealRonArtestofPottery) plus he seems very glib. I'm glad he's doing well, he's my favorite post 80's-90's Redskins player.

Both of those guys showed early promise but didn't have long term success. Let's not forget Terry Orr or Ron Middleton.

It's sad, I think he should be sat for the rest of the year, I think it's in the best interest of the team to start Cousins the rest of the games, but you know Shanahan's just doing it to piss off Snyder.

Or to humiliate Griffin the same way he did to McNabb.

I can't imagine any controversy dogging Shanahan for the rest of his career if he did that- it's not like mcnabb and Griffen share a trait that will lead to grandstanding and accusations from people looking for a reason to yell and scream

I do think he humiliated McNabb and freaked his other job prospects (and I do believe based on what came out and probably happened was mostly deserved), but I don't think Griffin's the same way. He's still the golden child around here, despite his obviously dreadful play this year. I don't think anyone's going to bat an eyelash at Griffin now, and it won't stop any coach from being hired who doesn't think they can make Griffin a top QB. Which is why I don't think Cousins starting the rest of the year would be mostly based in health concerns or improvement considerations, but just to piss off Snyder who definitely likes to get close to top Redskins players.

Right or wrong, Bob's going to have a ton more leash and his "Shanahan years" are going to value the good but mostly discount the bad. Just my take.

I'm paraphrasing, but:

Grant Paulsen: "Did you consider quitting at the end of last year?"

Mike Shanahan: "I'm not going to speculate on..."

It's not speculation, you red-faced freaker. Just be freaking honest, you're rich as freak, just say you want out and go coach someone else.

Not that I absolve Dan or anyone else, they deserve it, but I just hate that bullcrap.
