CB D'Angelo Hall cut to open up salary cap space.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000149345/article/deangelo-hall-reportedly-released-by-redskins

The Redskins have released veteran cornerback DeAngelo Hall, reports the Washington Post. Still over the salary cap with just 24 hours remaining before the new league year, the Redskins needed to trim Hall's $8 million contract to be in compliance.

I'm offended by the slur "redskin" - can we call this the "Washington NFL Team Thread (2013)"?

Apparently we are interested in Aqib Talib. Kid can play but his off field crap is pretty shady.

Pull down Profile, go to Look and Layout, and make sure you have Leave words uncensored unclicked.

I imagine that the moderators here probably substitute "Redskins" with "Politically Correct Pansies."

The Redskins are freaked due to the salary cap penalty. It's going to be tough to re-sign all their FA's and nearly impossible to bring in any help to bolster the defensive backfield and solidify the OL. Of course just about anyone with a pulse is an upgrade over Madieu Williams.

Fine, draft someone. But Fred is a drug pop away from a year suspension and coming off an injury that will most likely keep him from regaining his form.

I like Davis a lot and think he'll recover fine from injury. He has to know he's not gonna get a big money long term deal so we should at least be able to get a one year deal out of him to prove his health or a cheap longer term deal for guaranteed money. His talent isn't easily replaced and would provide RGIII with another weapon. I think his pot smoking issue shouldn't be a problem now. Trent Williams didn't disappoint did he?

Secondary help would be huge and mlb too. According to profootballtalk, they think there might be some kind of undercover deal in place to let the skins overspend if you will if they'll shut up about the cap hit. I have my doubts but who knows.

No way the whinny owners of the giants allow something like this that would let the Redskins compete happen.

Perhaps they are more afraid of Danny boy and Jerry Jones than they are of Maura? I don't disagree with you, just posting what I saw.

I'm going to assume they will be addressing corner in free agency

Needs would be as follows:

Free safety
Right Tackle
MLB/Tight End

Somewhere in there, I assume Shanny will draft a running back.

Yeah I get it that you were merely reporting. I'm just not buying it. If they suggest it the Redskins should say no thanks so as not to give the giants owner another reason to penalize the Redskins in the future.
