This may explain why the Take Back Nats Park thing was so successful, Fluffer already knew that the Philly takeover groups were planning on invading Camden Yards instead of Nats Park so he took advantage of the situation and took credit.

Yes, Fluffer the seer.

It's entertaining to me how you are still in denial about the Take Back the Park campaign. It was wildly successful despite "fans" like you trying to sabotage it by knowingly sellling tix to Philthies fan.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

That is a great soft pictures site. Not much of a baseball site though.

Please keep that sort of drivel over there.

Yes, Fluffer the seer.

Fluffer had the hard numbers, no special powers needed to know that the buses weren't coming.

The ESPN.com match story (http://espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=320609101) noted that the announced crowd of 46,611 (highest since Opening Day) was evenly split between Orioles and Phillies supporters.

Based on that video and other comments I'm guessing that it was a much higher percentage of Philly fans.  Lucky for us that they picked Baltimore this year, maybe next year they won't travel as much as their team falls apart.

Watched a bit of that video clip and the Orioles supporters certainly do look outnumbered.

As it did at the Capitals, winning should drop the opposition turn-outs. The Orioles are only selling to 54.7% of capacity this season - better than last year's 48.3% but still only good for 26th in the majors (full 2012 list: http://espn.go.com/mlb/attendance/_/sort/homePct) so naturally they'd be vulnerable to invasions. Meanwhile, the Nats attendance continues to rise (32k on a Thursday afternoon for the Mets finale with the smallest Met turn-out I've ever seen here???) - if the winning continues and becomes real playoff contention, locals will snap up more tickets (not least through growth in the STH base) and Preparation H Park at Camden Yards will be a much better option for the Philly legions.

Great post, OC. It definitely works both ways, as I have noticed more Nats fans than usual at away games this year (Fenway and Wrigley in particular had strong turnouts of Nats fans).

Not much Natitude from Nats fans in the All Star game voting.  25 votes per poster per day should help our guys out.

 washington.nationals.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2012/ballot.jsp?affiliateId=74Z331N-207LM

Didn't they use blocks of wood with nails through them to do the punch card voting back in the day?  We need to figure out a way to rig the system and pop out a few thousand ballots per game.

For those wondering, Hunter Pence made the “Fake Tough” T-shirts. A bunch of Phillies were wearing them, Hamels included.

Hahahahahaha, the Phillies have responded to Mike Rizzo's comments.  What a bunch of stupid freaks.

I don't recall the Nats printing up Softball Girls shirts when called out by that loser Mets pitcher a couple years back.

That's awesome to wear before losing to a team 10 under .500. I hope they Phillies stay this unfocused forever.
