My fondest memories are  previous concerts annnd driving to Pittsburgh to visit friends with Billy Joel Greatest Hits on the Cassette player.  We sang all the way to Pittsburgh.

I saw Billy Joel & Elton John perform after 9/11.  It was a great show.

Elton John will perform in Virginia Beach on June 12.

There was a 2013 Elton John concert on Palladium the other night, he sounded terrible, voice tone was gone.  Hopefully it was just an off night.

There was a good interview with Elton John on Fresh Air last year...I'm not much of a fan of his music (though his voice is pretty amazing...or was as the case may be), but his story is pretty interesting.

Does anybody have a full-color seating chart?  Also, would any of you full season ticket holders be willing to share the presale password with a guy who just has a mini plan and would love to buy tickets for his mom's birthday (no scam, no tickets going up on Stubhub, I'd send you a picture of my mom with the tickets if you really wanted).

I love my mom dearly but you really don't want to go down that road. You'll be sorely disappointed.

From a comment on NatsInsider:

And to anyone who missed out on Mark Lerner’s interview yesterday on 106.7, he said they’ve painted the concourses at Nationals Park red. So it’s going to be very…bright.

Did they make the city pay for it? :stir:

One Direction just announced a second show in Philly, hope they don't do that here, they'd completely freak me on the resale value for my tix.

...sort of like Leonsis having all the steps at the Snark Tank (d/b/a Verizon Centre) painted red.

Is there going to be a presale to Nats SPHs for the Billy Joel concert?  Some of my group members with bad taste in music want to go.

eMail just sent out, starts Thursday at 0900, no idea about pricing.

Not surprisingly, the American Express presale for Billy Joel is somewhat botched. The link from Nationals.com doesn't work properly. I managed to get in by holding down CTRL while clicking on the button, then editing out all the Javascript crap that came up in the address bar. I just got two tickets in Section 3 on the floor. Man, the convenience charges are STEEP: They demanded $29.55 per ticket in convenience charges (total of $59.10 for two tickets, plus a "per-order fee" and a $2.60 delivery fee). Ouch. But Ms1995hoo really wants to go, as the concert is two days before our anniversary. So I sucked it up.

Man, I thought Ticketmaster was rapacious.

The AmEx presale is going on right now.  The password is INGOLD.  You can apparently only buy floor seats.  If somebody would hook me up with the Nats STH presale password, I'd be really grateful.  I'm not trying to buy the $125 seats for my mom and that's all I can get with the AmEx presale.

They also accept the customer service phone number from the back of your card as a password.

Edited to add: The links to the presale appear to be fixed. The Amex Preferred presale is now out of floor seats. You can buy in "Tier 2" or "Tier 3," which I take to mean the Mezzanine and Gallery levels, respectively. It just offered me two in "Tier 2" in Section 210 as best available.

I couldn't get INGOLD to work. There seemed to be an issue with selecting the option for not Amex preferred as I never did get that one too work. I used phone number 8003272177 and it got through. Floor was already gone so I didn't buy any.

Tried to select a single ticket of best available and its saying that no tickets are available. They don't even have the pricing sections marked on the map.

Apparently three converts is two too many for the Nats staff to handle. How bad is our outfield turf going to suck this season after all those stages sit there for a week at a time?

I just got this message too.  I can only surmise that they have a limited number of tickets for each presale and when those are gone, they're gone.  I would've killed to get seats offered to me in 210 as a previous poster did, but all that kept coming up was floor and then nothing.

When I tried a second time, INGOLD didn't work for me either (I have a Platinum Card and never received any communication with a password). My use of the phone number was because I had received some kind of communication several years ago prior to some other presale that said to do it that way, so that's what I've always done.

If anyone wants to try a password, the customer service number on the Platinum Card is 800-525-3355 (enter it without the hyphens). Use that for the "Preferred" presale. It may tell you there are no tickets, but keep trying: I initially threw back tickets in Section 1 and Section 7 (didn't like the angle to the stage), and then it said it couldn't find two together, but eventually it sold me the two in Section 3. I suspect there is a lot of that going on where people throw back tickets due to price, location, or both, so it's worth continuing to try for a while.

(Edited to add: It appears there are still presale tickets. I just tried it again out of curiosity, searching for two through the "Preferred" presale. It said there were no tickets, but I tried again and on the fourth try it got through and offered me two, though they were floor seats. So it's probably worth continuing to hammer at it for awhile if you want tickets, though if you don't want the floor it's imperative to set it to the price range you do want because it automatically assumes floor is "best available.")

Just got 16 handicapped seats, row A in the 200 level next to the stage. Stubhub bound!
