So, for all those who advocate throwing home run balls hit by the oppossing team back on to the field....how long do you think it takes for them to put a hologram sticker on it, stick it in a plastic case and charge someone $75 to take it home???

Businesses needs to have a license from the District in order to operate their business. I think we'll know more if they are reopened on the next homestand.

They were back operating last night

There you go. No conspiracy. Someone probably just forgot to send in their paperwork on time.

Might be true, but still worth it :)

Many of those are foul balls.

That's cuz there are more foul balls than dingers.
Rendon 2 run dinger from the 7 July game against the Padres went into the Padres bull pen and was being sold at auction by MLB ...bid I saw last night was $320

The family and I will be driving in Sunday. Where would you suggest we park? Keep in mind we'll have a four year old with us.

JD Land's map below might be slightly out of date for the prices, but it's accurate enough.  I stick with the unofficial cash lots.  The one below the ballpark on the map is good if you are sitting on the third base side, just watch for the pot holes.

In some of those SW lots the prices were changing game to game.

The $20 one in the middle is usually a good bit more than $20 from what I've seen, it's the most over-priced of the unofficial lots.

1) because Terpfan asked
2) because I'll be pulling into my driveway while most guys on Metro are waiting on the platform to change trains

because we don't want to spend however long is required on the metro with a four year old. I mentioned shady grove mind you and as a state employee, I can ride free. We are going to drive in. No need to be a douche man.

also, where is the best store to find things in sale if any place? I want to get a new hat and get my son a shirt. I hope he gets a foul ball or something. I want him to want to come back all the time.

Not in the park.  All the stuff at the park is expensive.  I think the vendors AROUND the park may be cheaper.  Try Modells or Dicks.  They sometimes have a good sale.

...and amid all this, still no word on whatever became of NATSCSMGR.

This thread was (and is) a good idea - but why did he/she bail?

Last home stand they had items on sale racks around the 300 level. The deals weren't that great though, the stuff was a little over priced rather than a lot over priced.

The hats sold outside of the ballpark are cheap, but obviously not high quality stuff.

Not many bargains at the ballpark. Except for food, you can get cheap eats at the push carts outside the park and carry them in, Rocklands is also outside the park, for the kid they have cheap hot dogs at the stand right by the playground area.

Laid off in a cost cutting move.

Makes as much sense as anything I could think of.

Yeah but they're coming a long distance just for the game, don't want to take a significant detour to save $20.

At least at the time the thread started, probably 90% on the way to "she" by now.

I just bought a pass for lot F on StubHub for $14 (and got a ticket that I hope to resell for at least $5), I searched StubHub for tickets that come with parking passes, there was a single ticket for sale that was a handicapped seat with a parking pass, the location of the lot wasn't listed but since the seat is for handicapped I rolled the dice and won.

The Yards lot at 1st and N is now $35, but the one just north of it, across N Street, has dropped to $30. It used to be that you weren't allowed to tailgate in that fenced-in lot, but I saw people getting away with it last time I was down there.

I'd guess that the NATSCSMGR couldn't take the heat here. Or didn't like the Nats putting him out front here to take heat for their poor ideas.

I remember he came in here touting that they had a map with the location of concessions - hooray, there's beer at Section 115. I asked, "which beer on tap tonight?" - he was like, wow, what a great idea. Dumbass. Rolling out customer service like it's 1996.
