Probably a dumb question but how do stubhub and scorebig, etc. work?      If I see a ticket I like, how do I pay for it and how do I get my mitts on my ticket.   I've never tried these services before but some of the prices are calling my name.

You put a bid on scorebig, based on a star ranking of seats. Can't actually pick the exact ones you want.

How did you pay and how did you get the ticket?   It seems lots of folks do same day transactions from essentially computer locations.

Pay and print... enter your card information and once it's finalized you will get an e mail that has either a link, or a .pdf file of you tickets. You just print 'em from you home computer and you are good.... you can also have the barcode sent to your smart phone and have it scanned that way.

Then they will send you a confirmation code via morse code.

It will look like this

Quote
... . -.-. - .. --- -. / ...-- .---- ....- --..-- / .-. --- .-- / .---- ----- --..-- / ... . .- - / .---- .....

And then you'll know that you are sitting in Section 314, Row 10, Seat 15.

Just wait until the poor guy asks for directions to a nice sports bar near the park.

Yea, I can refer him to a place you fine fellows recommended to me.

Sorta OT here, but having noticed the Senators pennants flying over Nats park, I wanted to ask: Have the Nats ever tried to acquire the official rights to Senators history? (If there is such a way to do that.)

I just tried ScoreBig and got some tickets for a pretty good price for the game on Friday, $51 each for tix ~20 rows behind the Phillies dugout.  I got a note that the tix will be sent via FedEx, which seems strange, that's a huge extra cost for the seller vs. just emailing me the tickets.

After the purchase I realized that I should have stuck with a round number like $50 even.  On Stubhub sellers try to undercut each other so you see a lot of tickets for $29, $39, $49...  On eBay buyers try to outbid each other, so you see a lot of bids for $51.01 and such.  With blind offers on ScoreBig, there is no reason for a seller to drop under a round number, and with no competing bids there was no reason for me to go over a round number.  Oh well, an extra $4 won't kill me and I still got a nice price.

Not as long as MLB's/HOF policy is the history travels with the team instead of where the history was created!  >:(

In other words, never. They'll never change the franchise based records in favor of location based ones. Not for the Nats, not for any team. If, in a hundred years, the Twins ever ceased to exist or moved to another league which seeks to compete with MLB when we're driving in flying cars, maybe.

So long as the Twins and Rangers exist, and exist in MLB, the Senators official records and stats will remain in Minnesota and Arlington, TX.

Let me put it this way.   The 1924  WS is on the Twins locker in the HOF!

Right field can be   ...  sun sets behind 3rd base line.

Day games = third base side.  Especially in July and August.

You mean 3rd base side is better in day games

TBSITH, which inclines slightly to the left of home plate (and thus toward the third base line), is normally under cover from about 14.30 onward.
