So they can borrow money at a slightly better interest rate.
3rd place is a big deal for both of these franchises.  Or at least for the Mets finishing above the Nats is a big deal.

Maybe Davey wants us to compare the width of Severino to that of Coffey???

"I haven't seen Davey make pitching changes since '85 in that 19 inning game" says Ron Darling.

Why isn't Clippard pitching? He had two easy innings last night...

 :lmao:
...He can't pitch 2 innings every night...

Is he a switch pitcher?  He's got 2 arms, hasn't he?
BUT... does he have a glove for a southpaw?

SPOILER: That's how Rocky beat Mr. T.

Coffey's 40DD pulchritude towers over Wright.

As Jags just said, he's been our best with inherited runners this year, only 6 of 36 scored.

He's been terrific since Aug 6, only 4 hits     and 1 earned run in his last 15 outings.

Edit, make that 16 outings.

Overall he's been very good this year. He's had three our four terrible games, but outside of that he's been one of the best out of the pen

Slaten showing nothing, time after time.  Nice that Davey had him on a short leash.

Note: according to FP, that last pitch is always "a slide-piece". According to Keith Hernandez, it's "a slider". As a hitter, fielder, or analyst, I'd rather have Hernandez.

FP is peppy, but he gets tiresome.

even SF doesn't think that's a strike to werth.  you know it's a ball then.

that's bad.

Nice sales pitch by Werth, but he clearly knew that was low.
