i don't think i have ever seen an umpire screw a team like this..

lucky this game means nothing
This game means a lot, just not for the playoffs.  It's a perception race at this point and the Mets and Nats are going to fight tooth and nail for 3rd place.  It would mean a lot for the Nats to continue to be able to take to FA's that "Hey, we're almost there.  We're already better than the Mets and Marlins, come help us beat the Braves and Phils!" It would be a blow to the psyche of the Mets and their fans to finish behind the Nats.

Bringing in a lefty to face Ankiel lol

Why not?  Ankiel continues to hit righties at a much better pace.

Love to see Zim go yard here or send it to the Modell's sign and let it bounce around down there for a while.

Why do they show all of these Manhattan skyscraper shots for Mets games?  They should be showing Sal's towtruck garage,

I grew up in Queens.  The view from Shea Stadium was the Serval Zipper sign.   Later changed to U-Haul.

But behind the stadium did have a nice view of Manhattan.

His OPS is still .115 better against righties.

It's a game of matchups and trying to squeeze a few better percentage points advantage out of them.  Nothing is a lock.

Debbi already did an investigative piece on the world-famous Shea BBQ a couple of years ago, one of her masterworks.

But after all, DC will always exist in low orbit around NYC.

FP is an idiot, those are Blue Smoke Ribz.
