Got pretty decent stuff but had trouble getting through an order twice at the big league level.  Might be really effective from the pen, though.  Could be a nice complement for Gorzo next year.

thanks, i'll keep an eye on him

He was a college closer, he should stay in the big league pen.

PS Stammen is a good hitter and baserunner

Why do they show all of these Manhattan skyscraper shots for Mets games?  They should be showing Sal's towtruck garage, a Dominican weave joint in Queens, and some Staten Island pizza joints full of big-haired chicks in tube tops.

Nice running by Stammen.

Really?  Didn't know that.  Yeah, pen looks like a good spot for him.

I've been impressed about how well our pitchers have been hitting this year.  Overall, they've been much better at the plate than in previous years.

He's been a major flop in the pen at all levels. That's why they had him starting all this year in AAA. Why else would he have not been pitching out of the pen all year?

Random question: will Kimball be ready by ST?

He had shoulder surgery, so I'd wonder if he'll be ready ever

since he has been hitting lead off, Desmond has really become a far better hitter, not only hitting for better average, but his power has been better.

If only he wasn't such a poor SS i'd actually like the guy

i am impressed with that work by Stammen there, i'll admit to knowing very little about him though.

fill me in more seasoned nats fans
1. I forgot that Stammen can hit the ball.  They tried using him as a starter, when others were injured last year.  Then Stammen got injured.
2. There's a female member of WNFF who just about has an orgasm when Stammen... takes the mound.

3. So somebody could be getting some tonight...

Hmmm...maybe I'm thinking of someone else.  If he can keep doing what he just did, he'll be fine.  Cuz he should be good as a reliever.

Did anyone catch Collins' post-game last night? He ripped the Mets to shreds..."this team cares more about their hats than their play". Appears Mets players are still in a tizzy because MLB would not let them wear FDNP and NYPD hats on Sept 11.
