Seriously - if the Nats were smart, call him now while he is in a giving mood. They can't want a ton for Bourne.

Seriously, Rizzo calls Wade and says, "Milone and Norris for Bourn"

In the end, we settle on Milone/Norris/Someone else (Alverez, Skole or similar)

Jayson Stark tweeted that the Pence deal happened one year to the day of the Oswalt deal.  Also that the Astros gave the Phillies cash so they could pay the luxury tax now that they're over the threshhold.

We are quite close to the Luxury tax threshold - so that was 1/2 the issue this deadline for the Phillies. If the Phillies were eating all the salary, they wouldn't have had to give up as much for Pence.

Seriously, the Phils are swimming in dough. They're easily one of the top 5 richest teams in baseball.
