I heard that he would probably be working on a year to year basis because he has been considering retirement. So maybe a 1 year deal worth 12 million. That could bridge the gap to the better FA market next offseason where we can let Oswalt go but get Hamels, Greinke, Cain, or Haren who are all better and younger. Also remember that the Nats had interest in Oswalt back in 2010 for the first third of the season when they were still in all little above .500 and he said that he liked our club and would waive his no-trade to come to us. We've only gotten better so I would imagine that interest this offseason would be mutual.
