What happened to A.J. Cole?  I don't think he's pitched for a while.

He started as normal last game.... It got rained out after a few innings. Nothing wrong at all.

Ah, okay.  That must be why nothing shows up on his player page.  They just wiped it out.

Norris was a late pick also, we keep getting these stud catchers , deep in the draft.

Derek Norris was a 4th rounder, not exactly a late pick. Freitas was grabbed in the 15th round, while not early, not late either.

Kobernus might have regained prospect status - 3 more hits last night.

Nice, I didn't realize they had signed Skole already.  I'm interested to see him and Estevez.

One level below with a horrible OBP and SLG.

Not a prospect.

AJ Cole is on the same path as Shelby Miller(ranked in the top 20 in prospects) when he was in LowA last year. Cole is going to be one of the top prospects in all baseball in no time.

Yeah... he could possibly be our top prospect when Bryce Harper is in the Bigs.

Let's not go overboard here.

Miller's stuff is flat out better. And, Miller was more dominant K wise.

Big on Cole, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Cole could be our top guy in a couple years, but this draft class is going to make it tough on him. Rendon is clearly next in line after Harper, and if we sign Purke, he will too. Meyer's got the stuff to line up ahead as well.

One things for sure - the depth in the system is looking great.

I think Rendon will be in the majors before if not roughly at the same time as Harper... Purke has had problems with velocity. It could very well be Cole.

If Purke signs, we're good on him health wise. Making him our #3 prospect.
For 2012, Harper and Rendon are tops. If both graduate to the bigs, there's still people to battle with Cole.

Purke's the obvious. Meyer's potential is higher. Ray's the best pitcher at Hagerstown.

I'm a big fan of Cole; I don't want to seem like I'm down on him. I'm not going to go overboard on him either, even though I am impressed.

It's so ridiculous to think that our lineup may be made up of (in no order) Espinosa, Zimmerman, Harper, Rendon, and I'll throw in Morse and Werth

Are you sure about that? The fans here don't hold the Nats medical staff in the highest esteem. I like Purke too, but Cole is actually facing pros right now, Purke is not and is injured. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and crown Purke the #3 prospect in our system even if he does sign.
Same with Rendon. He's hurt too. Let's see how he does facing pro pitching swinging a wooden bat before we move him to the #2 prospect spot.

Regardless of where they currently rank in our system, once they sign, we'll be much better off. Things are looking better and better for the not so distant future.

I also have a feeling that Purke doesn't sign.
