wow shut up. I love how you call me out for saying the ninth worst hitter in baseball should be replaced by a red hot AAAer. Just shutup

Calm down. You forgot about Bixler and Stairs.

True but for him to say it's an overreaction for me to say Desmond is absolutely horrible and should be replaced is just being an idiot.

Ive always looked at him as the next Ryan Braun. Maybe not quite the threat on the bases, but a great all around hitter. So LF seems like the most logical move.

But, if Dustin Ackley can play second base, then so can Rendon.

Personally, I think Lombardozzi fits best at second. Mainly because of his ability to hit leadoff. Nobody else truly projects there, so it helps his cause tremendously.

Id try Rendon out at a couple spots after the season in extended spring training. See where he looks best at, aside from third, and go from there.

Really? You're going to tell me to shut up because I think you're overreacting? Desmond has been terrible at the plate, but his defense has been stellar after his early season meltdown. He had a tough game in the field the other night, but you cannot discount his defense up to that point. With Hairston more than likely going on the DL, this hopefully will give Antonelli a chance to show us what he's got.

Nathan Karns kicking ass for the GCL Nats today. 3 IP 0 H 0 R 0 BB 6 K

He's been really successful down there. Maybe the Nats spent time reworking his delivery/mechanics the last few years.

He had a power arm coming out of college but was said to be wild and inconsistent.

Yes I am telling you to shut up. Desmond has been awful defensively. He is tied for the 6th most errors in the whole league. Do you want a shortstop who is almost a guaranteed out? Shortstop is supposed to be a position that one of the team's better players play. Not some AAAA player who can't hit nor field.

That's enough of the telling everybody to shut up, and I mean that for everyone.  Just a novel idea, but how about making arguments that stand on merit?

That's great and all... but he's 23, he should be dominating the GCL... regardless if he hasn't played in two years.

Okay I cooled off. Sorry terps. I didn't mean to be a dick. It just pissed me off at the time. Sorry.

I don't know, I have to take the two year thing into account. That's fairly impressive for a Chien-Ming Wang level of time off. I would, of course, like to see Karns report to somewhere like Hagerstown within a couple of weeks, to see how he manages there. Since Karns is sort of a salvage project (would love reporters to dig into his story), my perfect-world timeframe for him would be Harrisburg to end 2012.

Do they need a pitcher?  Can't everyone pitch on regular rest because of the off day today?

Kevin Keyes is on fire

He was bumped up to the cleanup spot tonight behind Harper and is 1/1 with a Double, RBI, Run, and a walk so far.

The Chiefs' radio guy said this in response to UMD

Quote
ChiefsRadio SYR Chiefs Radio
@
@tylerradecki The plan was to piggyback him and Meyers tonight.

And Det pitched on only days 3 days rest too. Syracuse must have been short a starter or something
