Dunn went for $42 in my AL auction today. Second to Adrian Gonzalez ($49) among position players. Miguel Cabrera was kept at $50. I stole Rauch at $6. Capps went for > $10, and I think Milledge went for $4.

Joel Peralta, Rays: On Saturday, Peralta retired all three batters he faced, striking out one, in his only inning of the season.

Miguel Batista, Cardinals: He pitched 2/3 of an inning on opening day, walking one batter and allowing no hits or runs.

Aaron Crow, Royals: Crow is more of a coulda-been-a Nat than a former Nat. Crow, whom the Nationals picked ninth overall in 2008 and then failed to sign, made his major league debut as a reliever. In three total innings, he’s struck out five while allowing two hits and a walk. He earned the Royals’ win opening day.

it's nice to see some good guys on that list do well, but it's the first weekend.

some people are going

about a 1-2 start ... we got our butts kicked yesterday, yes, but we played very well the first two games. i'm not worried.

i like the o's but some of my o's friends keep talking so much crap, i'm like are you serious. nats lost a series that could've gone either way against an NL playoff team from last year that got even better this year. and the o's won't get great performances from their young arms night after night like they have been so far.

i just hate how it's come to o's fans having to root for nats to fail and vice versa, when both fan bases should just worry about their own divisions. when they meet up in interleague, then it's fine to drop the gloves and go at it. but o's fans should be happy that sawx/rays are 0-3, we should be focused on beating the fellow 1-2 marlins.

just my two cents.
