Lannan pitched and additional 1/3 of an inning and gave up three runs...instead of being pulled 5 minutes ago and the game being tied.

Riggleman is Acta -5.0

Why does everyone say that? Call up someone new. What the heck could it hurt? All of these AAAA guys have been exposed now and have zero trade value. Could have traded them 3 for 1 for a 5th starter earlier in the season.

We've seem them all, none of them are good!

This is a vomitous game. 9 K's off a terrible pitcher, Lannan throwing nothing but poopballs.

Scherzer has a career 9.12 K/9 rate.  He was actually decent in Arizona but had a terrible start in Detroit that got him demoted for a while.

Chuck James seems healthy to me. Arnesen in AAA or Meyers in AA. Just see what the heck you've got.

How much longer is Detwiler going to languish in the minors?  We need him now!

Someone's lost their mind, Chuck James is closing games. What a complete waste of time.

3 inning starts won't help the team.

That's what we're getting from Lannan.   :|

I can't take it anymore. If Olsen and Marquis are cooked, and they do nothing to replace them, might as well write of the season and start paying attention in March.

Like it or not, the offense has been doing it's job tonight.  They're hitting a 7.2 ERA against a 6 ERA pitcher.  This one is (especially now) obviously on the pitcher.

The guy in question in this thread is 0-3 with 2K and an E.  He continues to bring nothing positive to the team against RHP.

We should have more starting pitching, Rob.  This level of starting pitching is unacceptable.

Scherzer has had two scoreless innings and that won the game for them.

Detroit's bullpen best 4 relievers  10-1 with about 2. something ERA

Valverde 1-1 0.66 ERA 13 saves
Zumaya  2-0 1.95 ERA
Bonine    3-0 2.30 ERA
Coke      4-0 3.33 ERA

If Cliff Lee can agree to go to AAA, why can't the team option Lannan? What's the deal? Lannan's WHIP was 1.7 before this embarassment.
