I was reading the Os recap on ESPN, and couldn't help but notice the attendance. 16,700 for a debut of their brand new manager, a manager that's actually managed in the majors before (a rarity for the angelblOs to do, hire someone with experience) and a hope of being a very small start to turning things around. Oh, and they were facing the Angels, a team that's a decent draw. They aren't the Royals, at the very least. Yeah, it's a weeknight, but I would have expected at least 20k. I cannot wait to see their attendance next season when what few ST holders they had don't renew. It'll make the worst days at RFK and Nats Park seem like an NFL game by comparison.
So while this certainly wasn't a good night for us, we can take solace in the fact the Os drew so few.
