I haven't heard much as I've been doing other stuff for the most part, but his line says to me they'll be guaranteeing his contract.

Just want to point out that I do not like the idea of Kennedy batting 6th and Desmond batting second.

I'd flip those two to start the season.

I don't know about that, I think you want Desmond to see as many fastballs as he can his first full year, and leave the more experienced hitter in Kennedy hitting behind Willingham. I also really like Morgan & Desmond before Zim and Dunn wreaking havoc on the base paths. It seems to be working today right? If it ain't broke...

Still, 7 hits in 5 innings.

Watching a random 2005 game on MASN Classics.

Cordero really sucked in September that year.  Back to back jacks given to Ryan Howard and David Bell of all people. :hang:

I agree as well.  Batting behind Morgan will ensure a healthy dose of fastballs.

How can you stand that? They couldn't have won one more lousy game and finished over .500? Astounding.

:lmao: Look at NegativeNatsFan.

Yeah, September of that year sucked, but I love seeing a classic game where we stick it to the Phillies.

Also, Patterson and Majewski pitching.  Those guys fell off a cliff, but damn were they fun to watch in 2005.

I love the Nats classic game when Jeffrey Hammonds hit the first walk-off hit in Nats history.

Wasn't Wilkerson on the US Olympic team at one time?

Why'd half these guys just fall off the map?

I spent most of 2005 listening to games on the radio or MLB audio, and yet it was still awesome.

Because they were either old and breaking down or sucked. Anything that was left over in the Expo system by the MLB vultures was deemed useless by the other teams.

Nicky J was the crown jewel at that point. They hurried up and signed Loaiza, Guillen, Guzman because no one wanted them.

Remember horrible callups or projects like Blanco? Wil Cordero was worse than a little leaguer.

They traded Juan Rivera and Maicer Izturis for Guillen.
