Who is "they?"

Rob and Bob said that Riggleman told them that all three would get 400 at bats and that no one would get 200 or 600.

Stammen's sinker has more sink to it than it did last year.

Damn, Stammen needs to get his pitches down.

Getting crushed right now.

Stammen stinking it up. I was hopeful for this year. But after looking at that dreadful line-up and our terrible 2/5 of the rotation I don't see us going very far this year.

They'll puff up Guz anyway they can if they want to trade him.

Phuck all these corny Red Sox fans man. I have nothing but fond memories of watching the Sox when I was a kid vacationing in Massachusetts, but the "nation" makes me want to puke.

Haha.

I think he's saying that to keep everyone happy, but it wouldn't surprise me if he went with whoever plays the best.
If Desmond and Kennedy or Desmond and Guzman or Guzman and Kennedy or whatever permutation you want to come up with, but if two of them come out and at the end of may are hitting .300 and not kicking around the ball, there won't be too much of a rotation after that.

Fine. No editing of post if it turns out to be true.

Because I'll be nagging like crazy if it does happen.

So, now that we're underway, two things I notice.  First, the "Nationals Park" signage right behind the plate and no curly W in the outfield.  Wonder if that will return down the line.

The Nationals Park sign will help make the park instantly recognizable on all of our nationally televised games.

We should have put our starters in after Wakefield was done.

Yeah... totally could see a week long struggle to adjust back to old pitching after facing Wake.

Nice play by Desmond.

Man, it's nice to have the Nats on television. Feels like a Sunday with the day game.

Stammen finally settling down. I'd like to see him go 6 innings today. Too many flyouts though, isn't he more of a ground-out pitcher?

He was leaving the ball up too much.  He's been getting some more GB outs now that he's settling down.  He's retired 8 straight, 6 of them ground ball outs.

The Nationals Park sign will help make the park instantly recognizable on all of our nationally televised games.

It's bland and not even positioned well, the batter obscures half of it most of the time.  Besides, there's already a curly W visible behind the plate, as well as the "nationals.com" above the ad screen.

Kennedy has walked more this game than Guzman will walk in two months this year.
