Tyler Moore is leading the Eastern League with 24 HRs. Rhinehart is second with 21.

Moore has no chance to play 1st base in this organization, and his power is very real. We're just too deep right now and he's not exactly young. He's traded this offseason (or this week) IMO.

It doesn't hurt to have depth but yeah we have Marrero, LaRoche (for 2012), and Morse.

Rhinehart is having a ridiculous year and even he has moved to LF. Moore started in the OF but later moved to 1B so he's sticking there.

I don't know what we'd get for Moore in a trade. Most scouts still aren't a big fan of Moore because he doesn't walk.

He's walking a little more lately. Alone I don't think he'd fetch much but as part of a package he could be enticing.

I don't mean this to be a slight to Moore, but he seems like he's Mike Hessman Jr. in the making.

I'm hoping he gets more of a shot in the majors than Hessman did, though.

An obnoxious Oriole fan who frequents Nats Journal proclaimed Britton as 'unhittable' this spring.  Too funny.

BRYCE HARPER JUST SMOKED A DOUBLE off zack britton.

HUGE, LOUD standing applause for harper.  tons of nats fans.  desmond is @ game too.

My bro called from his car on the way to the game - he's a cop and working security at Bowie tonight, but was amped over seeing Harper tonight keeping those baltimorons in line.

He said that they were increasing security, expecting 2,000 instead of the usual 1,000.

Take a club to 'em.

Exactly.  Or, taze em if they desecrate the Nat'l Anthem as they are prone to do.

Then bring in the dogs to subdue them fully.

Ya know, I ain't a Baltimore fan.   However, I can tolerate almost everything but that "O" crap during the National Anthem.

This.  Man, they act like the Nat'l Anthem was written in Balmer, or something.   ... Oh, wait.

(I always thought our National Anthem should be "America the Beautiful" anyway)

No one has ever recognized the real reason the British were shelling Baltimore.   It was shelled to make improvements in the city

The Washington Post editor decided to take a couple quotes out of context and give them a misleading headline so as a preemptive strike here is a well written article by Tom Verducci on Harper and the pressure he faces in the minors.

It's a great piece. Too bad Boren cherrypicked a few quotes, wrote a misleading headline and will have created a fuss, causing people to ignore the actually great article.

Great article. Best piece I have read about Harper and it really gave an insight into his character. There are No problems with him just the freakin' media who takes everything out of context. Too bad the Nats and MLB are playing the PC game. All they were comparing was the aspect of scrutiny.
