Bryce needs to work on his grammar before he gets called up.  He said "your" instead of "you're."

Nice article from Zuckerman on Harper at the Futures Game.  He talks about trying to make Sportscenter with the long throw from the outfield and about how Ted Williams hated playing in all star games against pitchers he didn't know very well.

The kid definitely doesn't lack confidence in himself.  He's going to have a lot of fans in DC but fans of other teams may not like him quite so much.  There may be kind of a Lebron-esque reaction to him because he is so confident.  If he performs as well as Lebron, that is.

As long as we don't get "I'm taking my talents to the Bronx," I'm fine with that.

It's funny.  I forget which one of the ESPN voices mention talking to Rizzo, but for the first time I think, when asked about whether Harper could start the season in Washington next year, he quoted Rizzo as saying "anything is possible."  Every other time I think Rizzo has been interviewed, Rizzo has said something like "we have a plan for Bryce's development and we'll stick to it."

That allowed a run to score?  That throw?

So, we have tickets to the Harrisburg game this Saturday.  Should we hit this one or go to the double header in Richmond?

The DH is on July 22, my birthday, which is a Friday night.

Go on the 23 and we'll have a WNFF meet up!

The Squirrels' website shows the DH on Saturday  ... or both days.    Either way, I think three or so of us are going to the night game on the 23rd.    The Saturday day game would depend on what time we get into Richmond.

Oh, my bad... there's a DH on the 22 and the 23.

I forgot about that.

My only concern with back to back DH's is they'll sit Harper for one or two of the games.    Damn, I might have to go to both on Saturday.  :)

Looks like we're going to the Richmond game on the 23rd.  If anyone wants our tickets to the Harrisburg game this Saturday (dugout box section 111) I'll sell them to you for cheap.  Just PM me.

Just a heads up for all those that are going to the Diamond... all lower level seats are $10, so if you want to sit behind home plate... it's not going to cost you any more than it would to be sitting down the 1B side.

I got behind home plate for $11 online (Diamond).     Did I get hosed?

Pretty sure you did.

I've never seen a ticket over 10 at the box office.

The Squirrels are cuttin' into my beer money.

PS   Plus, a couple of bucks for processing online.   They're like Abe/Ted's rip off ticket deal.

With gas $4/gallon I'm sure that $1 isn't going to hurt too bad. :P

I'll have to take it out of my son's college fund.    I'm trying to get my neighbor to drive and tell him the tickets were $12.

Might as well make them $16 in that case.  :P
