K% has improved at AA so far, and that is a number I think that stabilizes quickly.  BABIP dropped fropm .372 to .281.  Weak contact so far.  It's good to see him challenged a bit.

If he was bored/unchallenged in Hagerstown, it's been a 180 in Harrisburg

He's not over his head in AA, he's just struggling. He's walking some, he's not striking out at a ridiculous rate. My guess (not having seen him) is that pitchers with better command are getting him to make weaker contact by pitching to his weaknesses. It's a good lesson for him to learn to lay off hittable pitches that he can't do much with.

But as long as we're not talking sub .200, striking out 40% of the time type struggling, I think it's good for him.

Yeah, if he really enjoys a good challenge then here it is for him. It's a bit like when the stuffy super-genius from your high school goes to Harvard and realizes he's not the smartest guy in the room anymore, so he has to shape up and compete with the big boys (and take himself down a peg).

Bryce Harper with the game winning hit tonight in Harrisburg.

Tied 0-0 game in the Top of the 9th. Tyler Moore walks to leadoff the inning. Harper follows with a double to the RFer who botches fielding the ball and then commits a throwing error allowing both Moore and Harper to come all the way around and score.

Harper had three hits yesterday in a continuation of Wednesday's game and the following game. Supposedly he hit the ball hard all day, had three hits in the 10 innings and a would-be home run that was just foul. He had a smash off the RF fence that bounced away. RF then threw the ball past the catcher and Harper scored, 3B with an error.

Sounds like he's well-practiced in case we ever play an Alex Rios team.

3/3 so far with 3 RBIs and a run scored.  A homer, single, and triple.  Just a double shy of the cycle with probably two at bats left...

That was a BS ejection! Harper probably said something like "WTF!" and he was immediately thrown out.

Good ejection, you cannot throw your helmet like that.

BS. He was tossed because he was Bryce Harper.

He didnt say a word when he was tossed. Had he gone forward with getting in the umps face before getting tossed, it's understandable. The blue tossed him before the helmet hit the floor. He knew he'd see himself on TV as a result.

As a professional umpire, you don't throw a kid out immediately like that. High school umpires don't even throw kids out for tossing their helmet/bat. They get some type of warning first.

People can criticize him all they want for being too "immature" or "arrogant" but I believe he has handled himself quite admirably. Most kids at eighteen is how they will be handling college and Bryce has the burden of not only having to exceed expectations but handling the constant booing and jeering and neeedless insults found all across the internet.

I think he has handled admirably. I'm sure alot of people are going to tear on him for being immature but I'm pretty sure teenagers could not handle the pressure Bryce has gone through.

Don't listen to haters Bryce. You don't need baseball, baseball needs you!

Yeah. Slam helmet = ejection. Period.

Love the douche kid in the video celebrating the ejection.

+1 with the overall post.     The quote above brought a smile to an old man's face.    "In the day", most 18 yo's biggest challenge was avoiding the draft   :)
